How much money would you give to aquaintences (sp??) for high school graduations and college graduations?? Have no idea what to give.
For me, it depends upon where the party is held. If its a backyard/home party, then $50. Last week three of us went to a graduation party held at a banquet hall, open bar, DJ, excellent food, etc. I gave $100. I don't know why the venue matters, I guess it shouldn't but, it does.

what about for a daughter/stepdaughter who you only see once a year, so aren't very close to. I was thinking $200, does it sound fair enough, or should we make it a bit more?
College or high school? Helping with college bills and expenses or not? I think that it depends what else you do for her along the way, etc. I am not sure that's a question that can be answered in isolation.

HS graduation, we pay child support, helped buy her a car, send her gifts for holidays, do what we can when we can. Haven't heard what she plans to do for college, like I said we only see her once a year and don't hear from her at all.
I gave my own dd 100 and my nephew who we are close with 50. Honestly it depends on what you can afford.![]()
