We haven't bought wood for the fire place for a long time. We usually throw one of those man made fire logs in the fire. Just light the wrapper and it burns without "tending" the fire. Those logs have gotten very expensive, so now we are going to supplement with real fire logs.
So, my question is, what do you all pay for 1/2 a cord or a whole cord of wood? I realize prices will be different depending on where you live. We're just looking for a ballpark, so we know what to expect before going on the hunt for it. Thanks all.

We buy five cords and heat our small house mainly by wood for the whole Maine winter. If wood was only $150/cord, we'd have fires year round!
