How much rolls of film should we bring?

How much camcorder film?

I'd say 2 rolls of film a day and a camcorder tape for each 2 days. That's me--don't know about you but it's a start.

I also figure 2 rolls of film a day. I do bring a few extra just in case. I would rather have to many than have pay Disney prices for film. Michelle

Our last trip was 6 days and I used 23 rolls of film. I planned on 2 per day in the 35mm camera and 1 a day in my APS.
This trip we are going totally digital. I have 2 cards, 128 and 256. We are also bringing the laptop to clear the cards each night.

I've gone digital, but in 2002 I used about 20 rolls of film in 7 days(grandkids first trip), in 2003 I took 467 digital photos and during our 4 day trip this past January I took about 100 digital photos.

I love digital b/c I can snap away and decide later which photos to print.

This past December we stayed for eight nights. I ended up with something like 430 digital photos, and about eight rolls of regular film. Also, we went through about 6 one hour tapes on the camcorder. Keep in mind that we did MVMCP, and three different Character meals, along with every parade and fireworks show imaginable. So that ate up a lot of tape.

I use about 20-25 rolls of film for our trips that are anywhere between 8-10 days. I just cut coupons when I see them for film and buy 4pks every so often and put them in my Disney bag. Even if I buy too much, film is something you will use when you come home too, but you sure would not want to have to buy it while you are there. Better safe than sorry!!!

Buy yourself some extra batteries and a charger to charge the ones you used each night. When you are at Disney you want to get the right picture and you end up taking more than you need, because you don't know if you got good shots. With a digital camera you will know! In addition, we would show the pictures to our 3 yr old while we were waiting for our food at restaurants to keep him occupied. He really enjoyed looking at the pictures on the camera.

In addition, when we got home we made a slide show of the digital pictures and my family likes to look at our Disney Slide Show. It was easy to do. I bought an inexpensive software package that made it fun to do.

How many rolls of film? More than you expect to use. I was caught short and paid something like $8 for a pack of 2 rolls at MK, never again!! Whatever you plan to bring add some extras to it. After my incident I started buying films at home whenever they were on sale and would take at least 10 more rolls than I expected to use and always came home with a couple unused film! Good luck and have a wonderful time.;)

If your flying don't let them take your film thru the x-ray stuff. Be sure to pack it separately!

I did not know this and had to buy all new film at disney! $$$$$$

Pack film in your carry-on!

Hi,
We used about almost three roles a day....That's with my oldest son helping us....I would bring extra...Just don't forget your film in the hotel like we did....We had to pay 20.00 for a disposible camera.....
