How much extra is a preferred room?

We are staying at CBR. We have stayed at CBR a few times but a while ago. When we were there we stayed in Martinque. When we were on the bus by the time we got to Trinadad the bus was full and we would bypass those poor people standing at the bus stop. Has anything changed?

I have teens not little kids other than the bus situation should I request a preferred room?

What would be the ideal places to ask for and where should I avoid?

I heard that all the rooms are nonsmoking. But do I have to ask for a room that was originally nonsmoking?

Last question are the CBR cup still the fat ones?

For bus purposes only, I would just try to steer clear of Trinidad South. I think Jamaica is the first stop for the buses most (but not all) of the time.

I don't know if you should request an originally non-smoking room or not. I've heard some people say they could tell, some say they couldnt'...it's a toss up.

CBR has fat and skinny (will fit in car cup holder) mugs.
