How much does a gallon of milk cost you?

$2.28 walmart whole milk was $1.79 a month ago

$2.49 for 1% at BJ's. Everywhere else, well over $3.

I see in dan's link that one person paid $1.49 a gallon on May 1. That is what my store was charging until 2 weeks ago. Gas was 2.17 on my last fillup. I think I'll be walking a bit more this summer. There are lots of things close enough for me to walk to...post office, DQ, drugstores etc. We only drink about 1 gallon a week of milk so yhe price isn't too bad for us. Of course with the kids home from school in a few weeks that will probably increase. I also have seen a rise in meat prices in the store....this is really throwing my grocery budget out of whack.

Wow, here I was griping up a storm after getting groceries the other day and now I find that I really have it good! I bought whole milk at Aldi's in Bowling Green this week for $2.89 a gallon. And you would have thought they were robbing me the way I fussed when I got home!

We only buy milk at Sam's - $2.58 a gallon as of last weekend. The grocery stores are around $6 for a 2 pack, or near $4 for 1.

We use organic milk and the price is crazy a 1/2 gallon is $3.59 so we are paying a whopping $7.18 a gallon. For these prices I should just get myslef a freakin organic cow. My screen name should tell you my kids are big on the milk

We get ours delivered by the half gallon so I haven't paid for milk in a grocery store in over a year. Our half gallons are $3.50, but some of that is delivery charge too.

I just paid 2.99 for a gallon of 2% today. Everything is going up. I work in the meat dept and pork went up .50 a lb. and bonless pork went up 1.00 lb, chicken went up from 10 to .30 a lb. this week too. Some of that i belive is for the up coming summer and holiday weekend.

I just paid $2.79 for skim at Sam Club today.. was up to $ 3.69 a few weeks ago but the price just came down..
