DH worked for Home Depot, started at 7 an hour in the Recession, then got increments of 50 cents to a dollar every 6-12 months..............7 years later when he quit, he was making 13 dollars an hour. He worked the outside lawn and garden, both stocking and helping customers for a while, then was a forklift operator in lumber. The 401 K was good, and they had great yearly parties/picnics for employees' families then..........it's come down a bit since the company got so much bigger.
Most of the cashiering jobs are about 8 here.....................
