How much $$$ do you think these jobs pay?

Cashier at Staples?

I was a merchandiser at Staples in Providence, RI and started out at $7.50. Then again, RI has a minimum wage of $6.75. I was told that cashiers make more than merchandisers.

Really depends on the area of the country though.

A friend of mine just moved to Naples, FL and got a job at Lowe's about 2 weeks ago in the electrical dept and he is making $10 an hour.

Cashiers at Home Depot / Lowes?

Cashiers at Michael's craft store / AC Moore craft store?
How about working the floor stocking & stuff?

Cashier at Staples?
Copy Center worker at Staples?

Or working cash office at any of those jobs.

Minimum wage or anything above minimum wage?

My husband is a General Manager for Staples. I can ask him about Copy Center Associates and Cashiers if you would like.

DH worked for Home Depot, started at 7 an hour in the Recession, then got increments of 50 cents to a dollar every 6-12 months..............7 years later when he quit, he was making 13 dollars an hour. He worked the outside lawn and garden, both stocking and helping customers for a while, then was a forklift operator in lumber. The 401 K was good, and they had great yearly parties/picnics for employees' families then..........it's come down a bit since the company got so much bigger.

Most of the cashiering jobs are about 8 here.....................

Out of those stores listed, I have heard that Home Depot & Lowe's pays best. A friend of a friend got a cashiering job at H.D. & started at $12 per hour. Not bad!
