How much do you pay a teen to cut your grass?

Or mow your lawn, or however you say it in your parts! We've always done it ourselves but were thinking to have a neighbor's son do it while we are at WDW. I don't know how much to give him (front and back, not a large property, but more than a postage stamp )

What you would pay a teen may depend on what part of the country you live in and what your neighborhood is like. I would talk to the teen and ask him what he thinks is fair. Some of our neighbors pay $10 for both front and back yards, although I have a friend who pays her own children $20 for the front and $20 for the back. I think she pays WAY too much money. The funny thing is that her kids never want to mow anyway so she and her husband end up doing it a lot.

DS gets $10 for mowing the neighbors yard, front and back, but he doesn't have to trim it. We give him $10 for ours but we make him trim it.

The price varies depending upon who is doing the cutting. Our son mows lawns in the spring, summer, and fall. He earns between $15 (a small lawn that requires a "push" mower) and gets $25 for the larger areas. It takes him around 30-40 mins on the rider to do the larger lawn and the smaller, manually mown lawn took nearly the same time although it's smaller. He works for a very small real estate company and mows the realtor's personally held properties.

A friend of his mows and earns around $20 per lawn--average size residentials. This includes trimming for both kids.

We pay the boy that cuts ours $25.00. He mows, weedeats, trims, blows and bags. We are getting a great deal.

We found a lawn cutting service for only $18 per week & they trim, bag & blow too. Our lot is small though 70 x 120'.

Around here, the going rate is $25 for both front and back yards. Not that I pay anyone. lol

I charge my DS the going rate of fast food salary... which id here is 8 bucks and hour so it takes 2.5 hours to do it right I pay him 20 dollars

I'd hire a lawn service. If the neighbors son got hurt, he'd wind up owning your house.
