How much do I tip?

I tip whenever someone brings something to my room. If I request a blender or bedrails, I tip. So if housekeeping brings me fresh towels on day 4, I tip. Both are providing me a service and both are paid a set salary. I see no difference. I leave $2 for T&T and $5 for full cleaning for a studio. If I have a bigger unit I generally double it. We are very neat and clean guest, so they don't have to do alot for us. On our last day we gather towels and trash to make cleaning our room easier.

When we stay in a hotel that offers daily maid service we usually tip a few dollars per day. At a DVC resort we do not tip at all as we do not get daily housekeeping. Since we are responsible for keeping our villa clean we see no need to tip, even on T&T or full cleaning day (which we often refuse). When we leave the villa at the end of our stay we strip the beds, clean out all of our trash and take it to the trash/recycling room and put all of the dishes in the dishwasher and start it.
