how much do hotwire prices fluctuate?

hi all,

thanks for all the help from various random questions i post. so here's another one:

tracking hotwire for a 3.5* hotel in celebration area that I'm pretty sure is the radisson celebration. I checked yesterday and it was at $47, and now it's at $42. will prices go lower the longer we wait? or will the prices spike up again closer to travel time? (or will it no longer be available?)

our travel dates are the week of 9/15.

I think it very hard to say because it will depend on the bookings that hotel receives through Hotwire, as well as other bookings it receives. I would say if you believe you have a good price for that hotel, this is the hotel you want and you are certain about your travel plans, you should probably make the purchase. I would not expect a 3.5* hotel to go much lower than $42. Prices for some of the hotel listings on Hotwire do fluctuate from day to day - not sure for the reason. Your travel dates would be good for waiting it out longer as off-site hotels will have a lot of open rooms in mid-September. There will still be a lot of listings on Hotwire right up until the day you travel, and most probably some very good deals, but it is difficult to say whether this hotel in the current price range will still be available.
