How much credit do you need?

I'm curious to know what other players consider a "comfortable" credit level for your VMK character. I'm not talking about being the richest character in the game. Rather, how much do you need just for "walking around" money? Enough to feel confident that, if VMK should suddenly release a cool item (or several cool items) unexpectedly, you could get your hands on it or them without going completely broke?

This thought was prompted by the fact that, last week, I went on a spending spree and was startled to log on Monday morning and realize I only had 50 credit on my main character!

I've been Nedding like crazy all week and so far have him back up over 5,000. Now I'm starting to wonder when I can stop. (Whether or not I actually CAN stop is a different question. I may be a Ned-aholic!)

It will be interesting to see what is posted. For me, I'm poor, my main person as about 2000cr. One mule has 5000cr, and the other 2 have about 500cr each. I feel comfortable with this and haven't felt the need to Ned.

I'd like to have 10,000 credits just in case....one of my clones has 6,700 so I'm pretty close there. Then I have another who is at around 2,500 and my main girl has 4,000 or so. I'd really like to buy a couple of rooms but keep thinking if they come out with something I really want soon then I'll be sorry. I know I've read where alot have way more credits then I do though. That's pretty good getting 5,000 in one week. I don't ever concentrate on it that much. I'm sure you'll be up there in no time.

I like to have at least 20,000 credits. For one sometimes my work doesn't alow me to play much so I have missed opportunities. second these new games also, no credit. I went on vacation - very little credit(lots of cool stuff from WDW though) In reality 10,000 credits would be nice. but if you don't furnish rooms and buy everything you don't need that. If you have a mule or two or three... well anyway you can make credit for the small things and trade it.

I like to have around 10,000 on me. I missed out on the space suit, way back when, and a few other things as well. 10,000 seems to have been a good 'buffer' for me, since then. (And oh the pain, to see it all disappear, when I have to 'splurge' on the magic carpet pin! I just hope 'duck' will have enough to buy it when it is available. She has about 14,000 now -fingers, oops feathers crossed-) :)

Ever since I hit 20,000, I try to keep that as a minimum. It's funny, the MORE credits I get, the MORE conservative I get! I guess I'm just crossing my fingers for magic carpet.

well, i know it's not the norm, so dont go by me. But my main dude has just over 50k now, and i have about a dozen mules with about 4-5k each but the whole family sponges off of them rofl. :confused3 ;)

Wow! I really feel poor now. :(
My main character usually has 200 - 300 credits and I have a few other mules that are about the same. They are the characters I use for getting the posters for my game prizes. Then I have a few other mules that generally have 2000 - 3000 credits each for pins and stuff. Then the last mule that has just over 5200 credits that I keep building up for when Magic Carpet comes out. I thought I was doing good, but you guys have me beat!

I am "satisfied" with this amount...

Crash one boat, and you'll more than double your money. Not many people can say that. :rotfl2: ;)

that was so funny....double your credit....
My main has about 8000 now, and my herd of mules each carry a few thousand each. My daughters charactor runs out constantly because every time she does her credit run or plays a game and then checks her total, she see's the go shopping button and screams "Lets go shopping" and spends them all! And she's only 7!! Oy.

Anyone notice that with the new Tomorrowland games you don't actually win credits? Instead you win codes that give you rare prizes. What's up with that?

Kinda makes you think what you get when the Haunted Mansion game comes around. I'll stick with my daily NPC's, hourly music mixes, and the occasional Jungle Cruise (I don't "ned").

I agree with you, MickeysBuddy- I feel pretty poor now! I've usually got only a few hundred credits with each of my mules and about 2 or 3 thousand credits with my main character... maybe I just spend my money too fast ;)

Well, my main girl has about 11,000 right now. I can't seem to get her at much over 12,000. My male mule only has about 1200. But then he just bought a new room. And of course he had to put stuff in it. :)

My other mules consistently don't keep very many credits, cause what they earn goes towards buying stuff for all my rooms.

I do wish that the new games offerred some sort of credit for all the time spent playing them. :( And since I already have a diver's suit and they have gone from being worth 150 credits to only 60 and can't be traded, I won't play Airlock Escape anymore. They need to rethink that. :earboy2:

I think my comfort level would be about 15,000 credits. That might get me two full suits (Haunted Mansion and Blue Princess) and Flying Carpet.

I just checked my totals:
- My main character has 27,715 credits.
- The total for my main character and 6 clones with credits is 117,305.
- I have 3 clones with no credits (they are just food clones). They are currently retired after getting me Invisible Magic pins, black Mickey ears, other clothes that just can be received at creation, and a lot of furniture.

WOW!
I guess I like to talk too much! :confused3 I've got about 2,000 credits. Spent a lot on the new Halloween decor :) . Nedding is too boring, I stink at most of the games, so it's mainly from the NPC's that I get any credits at all! :rotfl2: I have a group of wonderful friends that help me when they have extras of anything, and I try to get them things they would like to have. This seems to work best for me.
I have a question...Why has everything in VMK gotten so outrageously expensive?? You get all of 15 credits for winning a round of Pirates, 20 credits for any score on Jungle Cruise, zero credits for playing fireworks and ending up at number 8 :guilty: , but the new HM pins are going for 500 credits? A lot of the Halloween decor is 200, 300 and 500 credits! I've heard of inflation, but isn't this a little out of hand? Is it me or is VMK getting a little elitist? :rolleyes2

The good thing about nedding is if you find some way to keep the left arrow key down you can be doing other things while the boat is crashing. If your computer is near where you do your paperwork in real life you can be doing small bites of your paperwork while collecting credits. It also is a way to collect credits while reading Dis in a separate window. ;)

If your schedule permits, getting the NPC credits 2 times a day adds up. You can get credits every 12 hours, so a run between 10am-1245pm(ET) can be followed by a run 12 hours later each day.
