How much can you get done with EP?

We are thinking of staying 1 night at RPR to secure EP for 2 days (Sat/Sun). Saturday is our arrival day and we won't get to the parks until the afternoon. How much can we expect to get done from 3-8 with a PH? We are interested in Harry Potter and the HE!

The evenings tend to be less crowded, so EP lines are usually pretty short. You should be able to do a lot the first day.

Definitely get to the parks early on Sunday and you should be able to do a lot before the crowds hit. If you are going to do Hagrids first, I recommend getting to the gets 1 hour before opening and head straight to Hagrids. You will still have time to visit Hogsmeade, FJ, etc, before the rest of the parks open. If you get to the gates right at opening, you will likely spend all of EE in the Hagrids line. In fact, if you can ride Hagrids at the end of your first day, that would free up all of EE for Hogsmeade...

We will be there when EE starts at 7:00am; I don't think I can convince my teenagers to get to the gates at 6:00; we might swing 6:30. If that is the case, do you think it would be worth it to try for Hagrid's? Or should we wait for the virtual queue? Is there a landmark we can look for to know if it's worth waiting? I don't want to use up our entire EE in line for Hagrid's. This will be the last week of March. Thanks!

I ended up upgrading our Hotel to RPR based on the price of the EP being included.
I will also be there at the end of March and expected large Spring break crowds.

Yeah, it is tough to get up that early but I just wanted to let you know, since we lost out on several rides because of the line. The queue for Hagrid's usually goes past the train station and into the Lost Continent. Behind the fountain, they have the ability to queue up a lot of people. I'd say it the line is back that far, then you're looking at 30-45 minutes to get on the ride. In that time, the queue for FJ and FotH will back up. Since they don't allow EP for EE, you will have to wait until 8:00 to use your EPs.

So if you can get Hagrid's on your first night, then you can use the entire EE for Hogsmeade or US if it also has EE.
