How much are you paying for LP (propane) gas??

I live in Central Upstate NY. Suburban Propane just made a delivery - and charged us 3.86 per gallon. One of my neighbors also rec'd delivery day before ours with a different company and they were charged 2.89 per gallon.

Just popping back in to see if you have gotten any satisfaction over this issue..

Suburban Propane is one of the "major" companies back in the area where I used to live and I can't even begin to tell you how many people had problems with them..

I locked in at $1.99 for the 09-10 heating season. I just joined Our Town Energy again for the 3rd year. Hopefully they negotiate another good deal for next heating season. They usually send out pricing in Late April early May with the contract showing up in June

Wow, we locked in July for $1.899 a gallon.

We did have a similar price gouging experience 2 years ago. We also paid well above $4 a gallon. Once I found out that was NOT the price else where near me I contacted my congresswomen. Her office contacted them about price gouging. The LP company refunded me the difference and I did change companies in the spring.

locked in at 2.39 which was better than last year. Yes, LP companies sure do have you when they know you need it and there are not to many in the area. I think I am more mad that almost 5 years ago when they set the tanks the person showed up early and we weren't home. We rushed home to find he put them against the garage. I did not want the tanks there. Then we were told if we wanted them moved they would charge us for moving them.
