How much are the points these days

I have a friend who is interested in buy DVC, how much are the points at SSR or AKV.

I know this is the current deal for AKV:

$104 with an $8 discount PLUS
Minimum 160 points to be used at SSR before 5/31/09
Min 160 2008 AKV points to be used after 5/09
Min 160 2009 AKV points to be used after 5/09 or banked
No fees until 2009...

I think this is the current SSR deal:
$104 with $10 discount PLUS
$500 giftcard...

We were offered -

SSR
$10 Discount per point (making it $94 per point)
$500 gift card
Plus they gave us the points from 2007 with no annual dues and we will get the 2008 points on Sept 1st.

AKV
All we were offered here was $8 discount per point - nothing else.


Needless to say we went with SSR as it was the better deal. However when we were there we were being advised that SSR was weeks away from being sold out and that was why they were offering more incentives for that than for AKV.
