how much are the boxes of Mr. Potato head parts?

We just got back and I saw them...I think they were selling for $15 - you put them together yourself if those are the ones you're talking about.

It is a box that you stuff full of as many potato head parts as you can for one price. What you are talking about sounds different?? I don't know :confused3 Thanks.

$15 sounds about right. you get a box and a potato. to get the most peices put the potato together, fill the back of the potato and then fill in the box. as long as the box even comes close to closing youll be fine.

you get them at the toy store in down town disney.

Anyone know off the top of their head? I think that DS almost 3 would love these!

They were about $20.00 last September (and for $50.00 you could buy a huge plastic MPH shaped container and fill it up). We bought a total of two small boxes (DTD and MK) and one huge container (DTD). They are adorable! :cutie:

If you have trouble packing your box, the CM will help. You are allowed to "fill up" the back of the Potato, so keep that in mind. :goodvibes

Make sure to grab at least one each of the two different arms... they are designed to hold the Disney props! :thumbsup2

I've also read somewhere that you can skip the potato and just fill up the box with the parts. Can someone verify this? I want to make sure this is allowed - a.k.a. you are not required to include the potato head in the box.

We too will be going with an almost 3 year old and I plan to pack a potato in his luggage so he can play with the parts without buying more potatoes (we have 3 potatoes at home - we don't need anymore).

2 of my kids did this downtown and only got parts,we had the potato already, just be sure to get the arms with the holes to hold things

This is one of my DBFF's favorite things. She gets mostly Disney pieces, not the normal MPH noses and accessories. She bought her MPH at Target for $10 I think. It came with Mr and Mrs and a Jr.

So yes, you can just get accessories and not the potato.

Yes you can! :thumbsup2 We did this with the big bucket and one box.

This is my new favorite thing!

DH and I spent a good hour at DTD filling up a box and a huge potato container at the beginning of the month. It was $19 for the box and $50 for the giant potato container. We stuffed all of them with parts only. No one checked to see if we had the potato at all. At the end of our trip we ended up spending $200 on potato head parts! That's crazy, I know, but we got some as gifts too. :cool1:

Our kids at 5, 6, 7 and they love it! That's the best souvenier we could have gotten. Can't wait to go back and get more!

Yes, this is our FAVORITE souvenir. We only buy the parts and bring a head along with is so my daughter can play with them in the hotel room. Does anyone know what the new pieces are this year?

Oh, I am so excited. I wanted to do this last year but DS was only 1 and too young to play with such small pieces. I think I might go out and buy a potato before we go.

Are there really that many parts where you can totally stuff a box without the potato head???:confused3

:goodvibes I have always wanted to get one of these for each of my boys, I think this year while my friends little girl is doing BBB, I will let them get MPHs!

One of my favorite memories from our last trip was my DH running around with my DD3 trying to get all the "perfect" pieces!! It still makes me smile. We also bought only pieces.

So there is a potato head pieces shopping area in the big top tent store in toontown?

Just wanted to know if anyone knows if they have Indiana Jones parts for the Mr. Potato Head. Thanks!

I just read somewhare else that the Indiana Jones set is differently priced and comes put together already. Someone else may know for sure.
******Make sure you get the correct arms. Five years ago DH and I filled a box and got the wrong arm. We are planning on filling a new box this year now that we have kids:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:. When we were there franticly filling up our potato and box this woman calmly made a potato, put it in the box and went to pay. She was incredibly confused when the CM wouldn't complete the sale. The CM told her to fill the box up with as many parts as she could. She kept saying that she made it the way she wanted and didn't need any more parts. After a few minutes of this I think she finally went around and stuffed her box.
For $20 we were stuffing that box and potato as tight as we could get them! This year we will get without the potato.
