How much and how difficult to add a day to Park Hoppers

Wondering about the price and ease of adding a day to my 5 day park hoppers purchased from Undercover Tourist. We may be flying out later than anticipated and might want to add some park time to our last day. Any thoughts? TIA

It should cost about $16 to add the day. You just need to visit guest services at your resort or one of the parks and ask them to upgrade the ticket.

Is adding hopper ticket more than regular ticket? I have 4 days plus 3 days free hopper ticket and is thinking of adding a day on my last day due to delay of my flight. So it'll be $15 for me?

Tickets are front loaded. The fewer days you stay, the more you pay. The back end gets cheaper so they can entice you to stay longer. Spending your whole week at Disney is much cheaper than doing 3 days Disney, 3 days Universal, so this way Disney gets all your money.

It isn't very expensive per day for anything past 4 days. I think the incremental per day price has gone up a bit with the last ticket price increase. It is something like $20 now. It would be whatever the difference in the gate price is between a 5 day and a 6 day hopper.

No the park hopper isn't the difference. You have a 7-day ticket, OP only had a 5-day ticket. Your 7-day ticket is what makes yours only $10 to add another day.

The last price increase makes it $15 plus tax to add the extra day.

I don't know if that is allowed, but here from http://www.mousesavers.com/regular-walt-disney-world-ticket-prices/#baseticket, you just pay the difference (price are with taxes) :



So if you have a 5 days = 435.59, you want 6 days = 451.56 : 451.56-435.59 = 15.97$ with taxes included.

Thanks everyone. Definitely considering this. It is actually cheaper for us to leave on a later flight so we would be saving money even with adding an extra hopper day. One more question - I wouldn't be able to get FP+ until I added the extra day correct?

That is correct - you can only have FP's for as many days you have tickets.

Park hopper will be the same cost for you length of ticket no matter when you add it. So if you have 5-day base tickets, if you add it for just the last day, it's the same price as if you had it for the entire 5 days. Adding a day to ANY ticket is the same price increase. 5-day base, 5-day hopper, 5-day water park & more, 5-day both...they will all cost the same to add an extra day and that extra day is exactly like the ones you already had. So if you have base, you can only go to one park; if hopper, you can hop; if water park, you have an extra entry to those.
