How much $$ 4 Food Each Day?

What?!!!??

That is crazy. Unless one person is picking up the tab, you don't split it "evenly".

You might not think there are bad feelings... but there are!

Most of the time I like to think im not crazy! ;) I was just stating my opinion. We are all family and I know what it is like to split the tab with them at dinner we have done it before (Saturday as a matter of fact) and there have never been hard feelings.

I would like to stay focused on my original post... "how much $$$ people would think we would need to spend on dining per day". NOT on how people feelings are affected when paying the bill

That is a little harsh. Whenever I go out to dinner with family and friends the bill is just divided evenly. I am certainly not one to quibble over money when I am dining with friends and family. If I ending up paying a little extra so be it. It all usually works out in the end. I would never dream of sitting there and adding up your dinner and my dinner and you had 2 glasses a wine and I had three.
Unless there is a gross imbalance I don't worry about it and instead try to enjoy the time with my family or friends and not worry about the money.

I totally agree with the above posters about the DDP. It is a LOT simpler. You guys are already planning on a CS and TS each day. That would leave the gratuity and drinks to split. I also think it would be easier to put it all on one room and split the cost at the end of the trip.

CS $10-$15
TS $40-$50 + gratuity+ drinks (easily)

So I guess that comes to $50-$65+gratuity+ drinks per person daily.

I understand what you are saying. I have friends that we take turns paying for dinner. We have similiar eating and drinking habits, so it's no biggie.

I would just charge it to the room under one persons name..and then divide it evenly among the 8 people. The only downside to this the max is $500.00 for charging and then you have to stop down and the front desk and have that amount paid up on your credit card and then they allow charging up to another 500 bucks and on and on and on. We have done this before when we spent too much and it is a simple process that shows the amounts, places etc and it works great, no money to carry around no arguing about what was spent where, no reciepts to add up etc.

Unless I misunderstand your post this $500 max in untrue. I have on many occassion charged a lot more than this. Maybe you were using a debit card?

2 Counter service & 1 Table service meal I would budget $60.00 each + drinks

1 Counter Service + 1 table service that is meal, Appetizer & desert $50 + drinks

Everyone can get & pay for thier own Counter service. I would just split table service.

That is the limit on the value resorts...at the moderates it is $1000...and at the deluxe resorts it is $1500...you can also apply cash to your room and have a higher limit if you choose.

My suggestion is to buy the DDP (if you are already going to plan on spending that much) and split the cost of the tip between everyone (and add on the cost of drinks or anything else that is not covered by the plan)...this way you already have MOST of your food paid for ahead of time....PLUS you get a snack each night as well!! Less math you have to do when you have had a couple of drinks during dinner at WDW the better!!!:rotfl2:

Thanks, that explains it. Always stay at the deluxe resorts.
