How many waitlists?

Is it possible to be on more than 1 “waitlist” at the same time? We have a reservation but would prefer to move, but are somewhat indifferent between 3 different options about where we move to.

We are waitlist newbies.

Also keep in mind, the system looks for exact matches to your waitlist requests. So, the more days you are requesting for that exact match likely may diminish your chances of it being fulfilled (other than sheer luck) - there are of course other factors in terms of how much time remains before the actual visit, days of the week, and popularity in timeframe of your visit (other wait listers).

There are various tactics that can be employed like reserving days that may be available within your trip window and wait listing the remaining days not available and combining the reservation through member services later on (otherwise you may have to move rooms) - but this "stalking" approach gets a lot more complicated and requires extra points to hold these individual days in addition to your full original reservation - but since you don't have a preference to commit to any of the other three options - this may not be a viable approach for you.

Two is the max. I wish there were at least four since sometimes we're waitlisting a 2-bedroom at two resorts, for example, and you have to choose between 2BR and 2BRLO when really you don't care. Or even if they allowed for any kind of 2BR, that would help.

We had a 7 night stay booked at BLT beginning Jan 9. We wanted a couple more nights before that but the nights were unavailable. So I submitted 2 waitlists - 1 for just the night of the 8th, and 1 for the 2 nights of 7th and 8th. About a week or so later, the 2 night waitlist came through (and the 1 night waitlist was cancelled)!! While we definitely wanted the two nights, I figured the 1 night had a better chance of coming through. Needless to say we were thrilled when we got both nights!

If you're going to do that, watch it like a hawk. If one comes through then the other, you might end up with something you didn't want.
