I can't seem to find any info on the number of towels that are in the room when you check in. We'll be in a 1 BR Savanna view in Kidani. Does anyone know the answer to this?

A one bedroom villa usually has four bath towels, two hand towels and four face cloths. But since the Kidani one bedroom actually sleeps five, it may be five, two and five. I know when we were at OKW in Jan, our villa had the sleeper chair, but we still only had four, two and four.

If you need more, you'll need to wash those or pay for extra towels.

Since Kidani 1 BR's have two bathrooms, do you think they have that amount of towels in each bathroom? I ask b/c my kids are towel hoggers and I don't want to spend my vacation washing towels. I would throw them in the wash before leaving in the mornings, but don't want them to get that mildewy smell from being in the washer all day.

No, they will split them up between the bathrooms like they do in the larger bathrooms in the one bedroom villas. Half are in the tub area, half are in the shower area. I'd plan on each kid getting one towel each. If they hang them up to dry after using them, they should be fine the next time they want to use them. No time like the present to teach the kids good stewardship of the earth.

I'm taking ten teens this summer in a GV. I'm getting three extra towel packs (an extra twelve bath towels every four days). It will cost an extra $18 each time we get three packs. This will give everyone two towels. I'm going to get some clothespins or something to put on each towel so everyone will know which is theirs.

Where do you hang all those towels up to dry?

We were in a BWV 1 bedroom a month ago. I think we had 5 or 6 large bath towels, 2 floor mats, and tons of wash cloths and hand cloths. It seemed like we had towels everywhere. We had I think 3 towel racks, so I agree we needed more of those. We laid some towels over the edge of the sauna/tub to dry. With the towel exchange in the middle I never felt the need to wash towels.

It's a post High School Graduation trip for my son and some of his friends. All very nice kids, we've known many of them for the past 13 years (since Kindergarten).

We're making our first visit to an Orlando DVC in June, but have been to HH and VB. Both of them had beach/pool towels in the room that could be substituted for bath towels in a pinch. They were exchanged on request at the pool.

Do the Orlando resorts do something similar?

Thanks,

Sheila

No, pool towels are at the pool. And they are only supposed to be used at the pool or to wrap up at the pool to go back to the room. You are not supposed to take an armful of them back to the villa because of the expense of the laundering process that winds up costing the membership. If you want extra towels, just buy a towel pack of four bath towels/two hand towels/four face cloths for $6.

We were six in a 2bdrm at OKW and we didn't really feel like we lacking in the towel department, two girls two boys. With four kids of our own we can end up four to eight in our house at any given time, they can be a handful, some kids are respectful and they're a pleasure to have around, I'm sure you know your bunch Deb and your going to have a great time.

i just back from Boardwalk, a one bedroom. I just threw them in the dryer after we used them, sometimes washing also. But by thee days in we had plenty of towel incuding those from the pool. I the maids also left extra I think its the only way they'll get tips with the DVC.

Has anyone set the towels to wash before leaving for the day and then just dried them late at night when you got back to your room? I ask because I don't know if these washers will make the towels smell mildewy if not dried right away.

We just returned from a 1 BR at BLT. We had a ton of towels.

In the hall bath: 5 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 5 face cloths.

In the master shower area: 2 bath towels, 2 face cloths.

In the jacuzzi tub area: 4 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 4 face cloths.

I have no idea why we had so many, but it was more than enough for the 4 of us for a week. And no, I didn't ask for any extra. That is how many that were in the villa when we checked in, and what the mousekeeper re-stocked when we had our trash and towel service.

We do this all the time. Whoever gets back to the room first throws them in the dryer and sometimes that's not till late evening.

Four bath towels, two hand towels, one tub mat and four face cloths. A possibly one kitchen towel.

And if you're lucky, you get a Mickey head with 3 extra towels, and one of them is a bath towel!:goodvibes
