I live in Florida too, but I live 2 and a half hours north of Orlando. I've been over 30 times in my life, stayed at the disney hotels about 15 or more, and non disney 3 or 4 times, the rest have bee day trips or at a friend's house in orlando. I love it, I go at least once or twice a year. I went once this year March 1st, I'm going in June, and I'll go again in October most likely for my birthday. Also might go in august, but not positively sure yet. I want to move to Orlando when I graduate and work at disney as an entertainer while I'm in college. The college program, even the extended one seems too short for me so I'd rather live near the parks my whole college experience. I'd want to be mary poppins or in the chip&dale suits :]
