How many times do you visit WDW

Now that I am a DVC member with 150 pts, I was curious how many times I should go and when? We normally go every March but that would only cost 55 pts. What to do with the other 95? Xmas? Late Summer?

Could you please tell me how often you go. I wanna be like you :)

We've been going about 3 times a year. We have pts at BCV and BWV. We have also owned at Vistana for many years. We were at BCV for 6 nights in Oct. and BWV for 3 nights in Feb. We are flying down on Wed. but not checking into BW until Easter and will be staying there for 9 nights. Our next trip is scheduled for 4 nights in November.

We go once a year - in early December. Would like to try Food & Wine Festival (and MNSSHP), a Star Wars weekend, and Flower & Garden Festival, too, but so far just can't give up that early December trip. There are just too many special events and holiday sights. I highly recommend that time.

If you have trouble using all your points, upgrade to a 1 bedroom! You'll really feel spoiled. Early December is in Adventure Season - lowest cost in terms of points.

Best wishes -

Well, before I was a DVC member, which was just a few months ago, I tried to go once a year. Now that I am a DVC member, I have 150 points, I have a 5 night trip planned in April and a 6 night trip planned in November. Both trips in a studio, because both trips will just be 2 people.

Our latest plan calls for three trips per year. We like to go in May, October, and December. The May and October trips include four nights at VB, and eight at VWL (or other WDW Resort). The December trip consists of a long weekend, perhaps three nights at VWL.

Good luck!... :drinking:

We have three trips planned from April 30th 2005 to April 30th 2006. We want to take advantage of our new AP's and DDE card! :teeth:

We went seven times last year. Six weekend trips and one week in Dec. We have been twice this year already and have three more reservations. Don't have enough points for all the trips so use our FL resident advantage to get good prices at the non-DVC resorts.

Considering airfares from here we plan on doing 1 longer vacation a year as compared to some 2-3 mini-vacations a year. This year will be 12 days in January in a 2 bedroom.

Since we became DVC members 5 years ago we go a lot more often. We live in New Jersey and go down whenever the airfare is cheap! We plan about 3 trips a year. If you include the "cheap airfare" trips it is probably about 5 to 7 times. It's an addiction!

Since buying a second DVC contract, we've been averaging 3 times per year.

We usually go twice a year :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
Once in the spring and once in the fall.
Last year we took the cruise and went once
I've gotten where I don't talk about the trips too much, no one wants to hear about them :confused3
Oh well ---

We go every Dec and stay anywhere from 10 -18 days depending on what we want to do.

Our favorite time to go is early December. Reasons:
  • Provides incentive to complete the holiday shopping and shipping before we leave!
  • Creates an "unwind" period between shopping/shipping and the holidays -- which has proven helpful and healthful!
  • The holiday decorations are beautiful!
  • The Candlelight Processional is awesome!
  • The crowds are reasonable.
  • The DVC point costs are low.
Beyond that - we also visit in late January -- but that is for work.

We started going to WDW in 86. Since that time we missed one year. Some years we go 2 or 3 times a year. We go March/ April.......July ....New Years time.... Been owners at OKW since 93 with 750 pts. To us any time is good if we can get away. Some of our best trips have been short 3 day visits. No matter how many times we go, we want to go back.

april 2 nd here we come. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :earsgirl: :earseek: pirate:

Note from Sue: My DH said he posted today, but he didn't say he used my name!

For the last three years, since owning DVC, we've been going at the end of September for 10 days. When our OKW points come in we plan to add another 10 days at the end of January.

Three to four times per year. We used to go twice for a week each in January and late August, but now we have family near there, so we've been going more often. Last year we went for 5 nights at BWV (added a 4-day DCL cruise to this trip with points we'd saved from the year before), 5-night stay at OKW in May for mother's day and a 4-night stay in early December at Coronado (on points, last minute so we couldn't get all nights at one DVC and didn't want to switch during such a short trip). This year, we went for 10-nights at OKW (part in a GV, but we pooled our points with other family) in late February and we're hoping for 6-nights at BWV or BCV in November for last weekend of Food & Wine Festival -- right now we're booked at OKW. We have enough points for a quick summer trip, but may forgo that if we find something closer to home.

We're hoping to get back to our January/August schedule next year.

Usually twice a year but this year I'm going three times. I have a timeshare at Orange Lake where I stay most of the time. This year I will be in Orlando May 20 to 27, August 26 to September 9, and December 10 to 14. I don't spend all my time at Disney and while I may take a sidetrip to Disney, some of these I just sit around, grab a book, relax, etc. The only trip where I definitely go to Disney is the December trips. I like Xmas and Disney, Universal, SeaWorld, etc. do the holidays well.

We have a strange schedule. We usually only stay in 2 bedrooms with an occational 1 bedroom or 3 bedroom. We buy APs and like to travel during less crowded times, so we will buy our APs in January and then travel 2-3 more times in that calendar year. Then we take a year off. Then we start the process over. For example, we are in an "off year" right now. We were down the first two weeks of December in a 2 bedroom and wont go again until New Years. We will do a 2 bedroom for 10 nights then and will have a 1 bedroom for a week next March as well as another 9 night December 2 bedroom that year. That way, we get 3 good trips per AP year, and can borrow or bank points to use as well.

We have already been twice this year for long weekends and are going back April 3rd for 5 nights and are for sure going back for Star Wars weekend and 5 nights the first week of December. (live within a reasonable driving distance). Some of these trips are AP discounted rooms and the longer ones are DVC stays.

We would go down more, but slow traveling this year with an addition to the family coming along in Oct.

So sad isn't it? lol yet so wonderful to have a place that we all love so much!
