How many times can you transfer points per use year

I'm trying to get points for our next summer vacation. My question is How many times can you transfer points per use year? I've heard you can only transfer points one time. But what about other members transferring points into your account. I'm finding a lot of people who only have 10 or 20 points remaining.

Banked and borrowed points cannot be transferred.
Transferred in points CANNOT be borrowed.
Transferred in points MAY be banked.

So if I have two accounts then I could and I'm currently in my 2015 use year, I could transfer points into each account for 2015 since my annual date is september. Then once Sept 2015 has pst I can transfer points into each of the accounts again?

If you only have 1 membership # you can only do the 1 transfer.

Any usable points can be transferred at any time. Example, both March 2015 and March 2016 points can be transferred, but March 2017 points cannot be transferred since they cannot be borrowed. The 2015 points could be banked into your 2016 UY, but the 2016 points cannot be borrowed into the 2015 UY.

Terminology can get a bit confusing. You could have more than one membership under the same login account. What matters is whether your two contracts are under the same membership or under separate memberships. If your contracts have the same base contract number but different numbers after the "." (ex: 123456.1 and 123456.2) then they are under the same membership. In this case, you get one transfer (in OR out) per UY.

Usually all contracts are under the same membership unless you buy a contract with a different UY or you choose to put different people on the title, for example if you buy a second contract and decide to add one of your children as a co-owner of the new contract. If you have two different memberships you get one transfer (in OR out) into or out of each of those memberships.

As mentioned, it is one transfer per membership. You know you have different memberships because the UY is different. A membership can have many different contracts and home resorts though. What you are looking for are points that can be used during the time you are traveling and they must be considered current UY points for the owner who is transferring them to another member.

But that would require owning two different use years, right? We already established that this person has two contracts with the same use year.

A simple way to help with some of these questions is to know that any one point can only be moved ONCE. Period. So if the points have been banked or borrowed, they have been moved once. They cannot be transferred or put back into the use year from which they came.

You are allowed to bank transferred points.

But that would require owning two different use years, right? We already established that this person has two contracts with the same use year.

I am aware of that but giving a more complete answer No it would not require a different UY, only different masters that could be different UY or a different title situation. On another thread someone has said they no longer do it this way and that it's not possible. I'm not convinced that's the case but certainly things change and DVC does have control of this situation. Mine are different resorts and different UY under one account.
