How many times a day

He's second in command at the Coast Guard station so I limit my phone calls to when I absolutely have to talk to him. I do not call his work cell, as they have a directive only to use it for work calls (especially underway, as a child was killed in Cali by a boat crew that was using their personal cells). I will call the station and they'll get him for me. So, maybe 2-3 phone calls a week.

My husband and I work exact opposite shifts and it STINKS!!!! We do not speak on the phone or email... just a few texts through out the afternoon before he goes to bed. and that is it. He cant stand texting but I like it because I miss him soo much!
We never call eachother at work unless its an emergency...

he works 2am-12 noon and I work 12 noon-12 midnight!

About 4 to 6. Then, he usually calls me that many times each day, too. We're kinda' joined at the hip now that the kids are grown and gone.

Do you communicate with your spouse while at work? Meaning, phone calls, txts, emails, etc.

I voted so many times I stop counting, we work together so I always see him and we bump into each other a lot

It depends on the day. If DS and I are at home I usually don't call unless he is late or I am stumped for dinner ideas. If we are out shopping I will call him to see if he needs anything. I try to e-mail, but he doesn't always answer them. If DS says a new word, which is a rarity, I will call him and let him know.

I put never. DH works on a noisy factory floor and he wouldn't hear me if I called his personal cell. He can't use his computer there for e-mail. The rare occasions I have had to call the front and ask for him, they give you such a guilt trip: "Is This An Emergency?" Irritates me to know end. Like I would interupt him for a gallon of milk or something.
I've probably called him at work 4 times in 13 years. I didn't even call when our daughter broke her nose since there was really nothing he could do about it. He has occasionally called me on his break, but the breaks are short, so we don't call just to chat.

I didn't answer the poll since it's not never, but not once a day, either. About once a week I'll call--mostly to coordinate after work plans for dinner etc.

I'm the same - sometimes I might speak to him once/twice in a day but then I can got days without speaking. Usually, it's only if something comes up while I'm/he's at work that I need an answer to right away or he might call me if he wants to make plans to rehearse with his band and check we have nothing going on.

only if needed. We mostly text and it is normally because the kids schedule got changed so we let each other know.

It varies- some days never, but if there is something "going on" that we need to keep each other aware of, it could be several times.

I said 1-3 times a day. It is usually e-mail. Right now we are in the middle of moving, so the communication is up a bit! I've had to call him a few times to get questions answered quickly. But as a general rule, I don't call unless I have to.

DH and I are best friends, so when he is at his normal day job, we talk about 5-6 times a day- this includes phone calls, texts, email or IM. We both work desk jobs. Now he is deployed to Afghanistan until July 31, 2011, so I am lucky if I get to talk to him 2x a week.

almost put too many to count but probably 4-6 a day. during the week he lives up in D.C. so Im sure he gets lonely being away from his family. He also worries about my health so he checks in to see how Im doing. sweet guy.

I put 1-3 but most days its never. I would say its more like 1-3 times per week but that's not 'never' so it didn't fit that choice.

He usually calls me about 3 times a day, sometimes just to say Hi real quick. We also text a lot.
