How many tents per partial site?

We are thinking about camping at FW with another family. Each of our families are 2 adults/2children. We would each have a tent. Can we all use one campsite? Or do they have to reserve one as well?

10 people per site are allowed whether it be all adults or children.

No, you can put as many tents and shelters on the site as long as they fit, and you don't exceed 10 folks.

Do we have to include our friends on the ressie? I booked online and just entered my families names.

You, can add them when you arrive unless:

1) They are flying in and need Magical Express for their arrival.

2) This is a package with tickets/dining. All members of the reservation must have the same package components.

If none of the above conditions exist, just tell the front desk when they arrive. There is a $2 +tax charge per night for any adults over two, but that is CHEAP compared to a whole other campsite!!

Also, FYI only one car will be able to be kept right at the campsite. Any other vehicles will need to be parked in the overflow lot out front. Ask for a parking pass for all vehicles. Also any utility trailers will need a separate parking pass to be parked out front.

Are we crazy for tent camping the first week of June? We have a ressie for 4 nights...

We most likely will do the dining plan. I thought if we weren't cooking it may make it more pleasant.

If I read your post correctly..if we do a pkg. then so will our friends? If they come they would not do the dining plan (really bad food allergies) and would probably buy single tix. If do they do so, could they still camp with us?

Technically, if they are sharing your site, then they are supposed to be on the same package. The folks at CRO will tell you absolutely they must be.

However, I've heard that folks only booked packages for a portion of their group, then added other guests upon arrival without the package.

The resort desks seem to be able to do more than CRO can, when it comes to that.

And to be quite honest, Ft. Wilderness seems to be the most flexible of all.

However, many on the boards will tell you that rules are rules and get very upset when folks try to get around Disney's rules.

Having said all that, with the limited availability at Ft. Wilderness, I wouldn't want my friends to arrive and have to get another site to stay off the dining plan and none are available, or have the expense of the dining plan that they were not planning on.

Thanks for the advice. Right now all we have is the campsite ressie. It may be worth it for them to get their own campsite.
