how many tapes is enough to take, i'm taking a camcorder with me and i have 10, 60min tapes and i'm wondering if thats enough, i have a 1gb memory card to use for still pics. how many tapes do you take ??

DH just bought me a new camcorder last Xmas and it's great... now instead of taking 8-10 60 min tapes ( as I had to with the old one ) now I only have to take 4(I get between 3&4 hours recording time on each! :sunny:

what kind of tapes do you use ? i have a miniDV camcorder and i can switch between SP= 60 minutes or LP= 90 minutes, each

I'd also like to know what camcorder you have because my mini DV only gets 60 or 90 mins. To th OP 10 60 min tapes should be plenty.

Depends how much you plan on filming really.I allowed approx 30 mins for each show i wanted to record, then an extra 2 hours for any other snipits that might crop up.

thanks for the input,
i was kinda figureing on 2 tapes per park, but then i wasn't sure an i Don't wanna have to buy tapes at disney.
i mainly want to tape the parades, an then whatever.

I think if you asked a dozen people how much video they shot at WDW, you'd get a dozen different answers.

How many days? Do you just record shows? Parades? Rides? Family? When you shoot, do you keep the camera on for the entire activity or do you turn it on to record a snippet and then off again for a while?

10 60 minutes tapes is almost 600 minutes of footage. That's a lot by the standards of just about everyone I know for a trip. Plan on spending a whole lot time editing.
