I have a studio savanah room at AKV booked for a one night stay after our cruise in November.

But I really wanted a Magic Kingdom view studio at BLT - I'm waitlisted, but was wondering how many MK view studios there are?

Is there a place on the website that lists the number of rooms per type available at each of the resorts? I looked but couldn't find anything.

Thanks

Your question is difficult to answer. Once BLT is sold out, there will be 147 studios (all will be part of 2-bedroom lock-off units; there are no dedicated studios at BLT). As of June 29th, only 64 2-bedroom lock-off units had been declared for DVC. Disney seems to declare more units every few weeks as they continue to sell more BLT points, so more studios should join the DVC inventory in the weeks to come.

As for your question about how many studios will have an MK view, I don't know. My wife thought our Guide told us the mix of rooms by view, but neither of us can find where we might have written it down. If another poster doesn't give us the answer, then perhaps a call to your Guide might get the info.

Good luck on getting an MK view! We have an MK view studio booked, but not until March 1, 2010.

There will be 133 2Br Lockoffs at BLT and 20% of the villas will be MK view. I've not seen any "official" breakdown of the number of villa types for each view, but it would seem that there may be around 25 MK view studios and 1BR villas. Some of those 133 may also be reserved as lockoff 2BRs which might result in a smaller number of studios and 1BRs. There will be 148 dedicated 2BR villas.

The breakdown of the views will reportedly be Standard View - 11%, Lake View - 69% and MK view - 20%.

As noted, these numbers won't be accurate until all units have been declared into the DVC inventory. At the present time it seems that less than 50% of the totals are included in the member inventory.

Thanks for the info, I forgot about not all rooms being released yet. Maybe they'll release some before my November date and one will become available. I love AKV, but we are planning on having tea at the GF on Sunday afternoon and just hanging out for the rest of the day, no parks, so it would be nice to be able to watch the fireworks from our room.

Don't give up hopes OP! I booked a BLV studio in BLT mid June for Nov. I waitlisted for MKV as this was what I really wanted. Two weeks later, my waitlist came through! Now, I am waitlisted for October at BCV. I don't think that I will be as lucky :sad2:

Currently declared...11 BR lockoffs offs facing MK (11 more when it's fully sold out). It's unlikely that all of these are MK view because the ones declared are on floors 2-7 (one more to be declared on floor 7). Guessing that some of these (at least the four on floors 2 & 3) are considered standard view, but that's just a guess.

NOTE: there will be 40 dedicated 2BRs that face MK.

Based on sales being documented on the Orange County Comptroller web site, sales are strong at BLT. Over 1300 new sales documented since the last declaration was filed. These are still dating to June (and earlier) so expect lots more to be documented by the OCC in the next couple weeks. I wouldn't be surprised if Disney has another declaration show up in the next month. Unfortunately, next declaration is likely to only include one more MK view studio.

Might want to check out this thread for more details on what's declared at BLT...

I prefer to be on the lower floors say under 7 or so. Would studios there be considered standard view?

I was told by a guide today that there are 20 MK views, 106 Lake views and 21 standard views for studios. I am thinking about buying there, and was asking so I would know what the chances are.

Thanks for the information.

Oops, just realized that might mean the 20 lock offs facing the monorail (floors 3-12) could be MK views.

Guess we'll start finding out for sure Aug 2nd when people start checking in.
