How many snacks do you eat per day?

I'm trying to come up with a final budget for our honeymoon in August, and the one thing I'm still stuck on is our snack budget! It was easy to come up with a QS/TS estimate, but I don't really have any idea how much to expect us to spend on snacks in a day. How many snacks do you typically eat in a day? How much would you say you spend?

My husband and I are what I'd consider average eaters/drinkers. We'd likely only drink in Epcot, maybe two/three drinks a piece? On our past trips, we've usually stuck to maybe a pretzel or an ice cream bar a day, but I'm not sure if that'll change in the heat of the summer (we typically go in the winter), or if we'll be more in the mood to "splurge" on our honeymoon and get a ton of snacks. Right now I have an estimate of about $20 a day in snacks (excluding any drinks we'd get in Epcot). Does that seem okay?

That's about four snacks so 2 per person per day. I think that's fine but you know your eating habits

Yes I would say that is a good amount. Of course the drinks in Epcot are more expensive but we typically do 1-2 snacks per person per day

Maybe 1-2 if we are there all day, but that's rare in the heat. I just don't have much appetite when it's so hot and humid outside.

I chug water, but I bring my own to avoid the pricey bottles. I can see how people would drain their snack credits/snack budget on water in the hottest months. We usually toss snacks in our hotel room, too, to snack on if we head back for a break or at night. It saves a walk to the quick service spot and loads of money.

I would budget high, since Disney snacks have gotten so $$, and then you'll be pleasantly surprised if you opt against spending it all :)

So, you mentioned August... but no specific timeline. If it will be in the timeframe of Food & Wine (end of the month, someone can keep me honest... but I believe the 29th) - you may want to overbudget, in case there are things from the kiosks that draw your attention. 😊

In the parks, I’m probably good for maybe 1 snack and 2-3 waters outside of meals per day.

On our last trip, we averaged 1 snack each per day, but we are not big eaters and I had brought some snacks for the kids since most of the Disney snacks are so huge. We went at the end of August. We also drank tons of the free ice water so didn't really buy drinks.

DH and I did not really snack as much with the August heat. Normally we get one snack per day if we eat TS because they give you so much food. It really depends on how long we are in the parks. I would budget two per day just in case.

Save your $$$ on the water buy a water flavouring at your local shop and refill from the fountains in the parks! If you are staying on property your hotel quick service may have a small case of water 12-14 bottles(?) for around $8.

We'll be there from the 15-23, so missing F&W! We'll likely stick to drinking the free ice water and probably order Gatorade from Garden Grocer, so our snack budget will be primarily for food.

How many snacks do you typically eat in a day?

None? Unless you count a a drink in epcot, or a starbucks iced latte as a snack. I just don't tend to get that hungry when eating restaurant meals. At home I graze, but I rarely eat meals with as many calories as when I'm at disney.

I always think we are going to snack way more than we ever do, especially in the heat. I have a long list of snacks we have never tried because we just aren't as hungry between meals as we think we will be. We also split food and snacks a lot. I do make up for it in alcoholic beverages, I find most Disney cocktails to be pretty weak compared to the cocktail bars we frequent at home, add in all the walking and I can go through quite a few per day myself, plus whatever my husband wants.

Really depends. Our breakfast is typically a park “snack” of some sort. And we typically want something late night, hours after dinner. If you have full meals planned for every mealtime then you wont snack as much. Also people seem to be insinuating that most snacks cost $5 but they quite range in price and can easily be much higher.

Depends on the day, for sure, but I usually will have 2. I'm a bottomless pit, though.
My younger siblings, however, have *maybe* 1 snack. Not even.

I think maybe 2 snacks a day...at the most. Unless I'm at Epcot where snacking counts as a meal unto itself.

It really depends on the park I am in. Definitely budget a little more for Epcot.
