This thread is inspired by the TLC show Clean Sweep. DS and I were watching it last night and the guy on the show had 71 pairs of shoes all over his room and it got DS and I to thinking how many shoes we had compared to others. So out of curiosity, how many pairs of shoes are in your closet?

I'd guess at 25-30 pairs....but most are flipflops :teeth:

Okay...I had to go count too
(and I have nothing to do at the moment ;) )
Althetic shoes: 3
flip flops: 8
other sandals: 9
shoes: 11
slippers: 4
Total 35....but I do tend to wear about 10 of them the most often.

I just had to go and count.... I'm not extremely organized, and have shoes in several different rooms of my house... but in the end I came up with a count of 30 (including my slippers.)
I really need to get rid of some of those shoes, I would never wear a few of them anymore!!! What was I thinking when I bought those???

:wave2: princess:

When I saw the title of your thread I just *knew* you were watching TLC, too! LOL! I think I probably have close to 30, and some of them, I must admit, are old and should be thrown out.

Probably between 50 and 100. It is hard to count since some are put away for the season BUT how many do I actually wear? About 20 pair. The rest just plain hurt and you know how that is. Especially when you buy them they feel great and then about 5 hours into wearing them you KNOW you are never going to wear them again(unless your outfit absolutely calls for it).

I've got approx. 45 shoes and 5 pairs of slippers.

My middle 12 year old DS just bought an awesome pair of Adidas cleats in shiny red/black that fit me! Now I can't wait for him to outgrow them so I can wear them when I coach field hockey. I'm seeing a whole new set of possibilities here in the shoe dept. Having the boys buy sneakers that I secretly want!!

im not a big shoe person--i saw clean sweep last night and was amazed..i have 2 pair of sneakers...5 flip flops (the old navy kind in different oclors)..and slippers

Help me! The Doc's coming over at two and I'm trying to decide which pair of shoes to wear. I'm looking for something casual yet functional.

I have a lot of pairs of shoes, but I've never counted them. Mostly Tevas, though. I love my blue, rubber soled ones but they are more like beach or pool style.

I may end up wearing the Leather "Circuit" Teva's today!:sunny:

Far too many and I had a clearout a few months ago !!!!!

I counted 82 pairs :earseek: . I just gave away a whole bunch at the begining of the summer. I do keep my shoes for a long time though and a lot of them are flip flops.

i think i need more shoes.. i have 3 pairs of flip flops, 1 pair of leather sandles, 2 pairs of school shoes, barn boots, and cowboy boots for shows.... only 8 pairs..? is the normal?:earseek:

Edit: forgot my dress shoes for chior... i have 9 pairs

I have 107 pairs of shoes - I just purged some of the old ones...so now my husband is telling me I NEVER need to buy shoes again....EVER!!

12 pairs, don't wear them all regularly though

Way too many to count.... I'm thinking maybe 200, but that might be a really low estimate:eek: That's the reason this will be my new closet (on the left is the future home of the " wall of shoes":cloud9:

I'm a sucker for shoes, so I'm afraid to count how many I have!! :earseek:

I've got to have between 100 to 200. I'm curious now....I think I may go count them later tonight!

Lets see...let me count....

Sandles: 1 pair
Athletic Shoes: 1 pair
Dress Shoes: 2 pair
Work in the yard shoes: 1 pair
House Slippers: 1 pair

So looks like 6.....
