how many SAHM's?

Me too!
I will admit, I have my days when Im so ready to go back to work, but deep down, I do know how good I have it.

Me too! :D There are alot of SAHM's here on West Point, so I've been lucky to make some really good friends here.

I consider myself one, though I do substitute teach occasionally now that my kids are in school all day. I only sub at their school so we don't have daycare issues - it works out pretty well.

We have quite a few SAHM's in my area - not in my neighborhood though. I've had to kind of search them out in church and other organizations I belong to.

wow!! lots of us here. now i dont feel so alone. most of the other moms in my area are older than me. i am only 26 and ds is 6. so most of his friends moms are a bit older. and most of the women my age dont really relate to me. either not being a mom or having to work. throw in the facts that i homeschool and am a disney nut. ooooh and i only look about 15 if i am lucky!!!

but i do know how blessed i am that i get to stay home now. i didnt for the first few years and i missed so much.

I've been a SAHM now for almost 11 years. I do a large amount of volunteer work in various places so I'm not really home all that much. For me though, the important thing is that I am home when I want to be or need to be. It's the best of both worlds (although it would be nice to get paid for all the work I do!)

me.....the worlds toughest, but most rewarding job!!!!!

Im finally at sahm. I had work when my first 2 (now 12 and 15) were small. My x was VERY against me staying home. Said I shouldnt be able to stay home if he couldnt. So I got rid of him.
Got a great dh this time around and I quit work as soon as my 3 yr old was born and we now have a 9 month old as well. I love being home. Im able to be with the little ones, go one field trips with the older ones. Also they wouldnt be able to play football if I wasnt home to pick them up from practice.
I may have to consider going back to work when my freshman graduates from high so we can pay for college but if thats what it takes then thats what it takes.

I am a SAHM and I homeschool our two children-DD-10; DS-8. This is our first year homeschooling and we are loving our life. My husband takes on side jobs so that we can still afford to go to WDW.

I suddenly became a SAHM in July for my (then) 7 month old & my 7 y/o DS's when my Mother was diagnosed with Bone Marrow Cancer. Now I work harder than I ever have, caring for everyone! :(

Me!

Lots in my area. Check to see if you have a local chapter of the MOMS Club - Moms Offering Moms Support. They have activities during the day when moms need it most. I think the website is http://www.momsclub.org

Me too, for just about 15 years now, which was a month before DS-almost-15 was born :)

Yep, me too. For a little over 5 years now. :)
