Just realized last night that this Aug DS13 & I are planning on exploring 11 resorts
While staying at VWL we'll also explore Contemp, GF, Poly, FW and AKL - easy with the monorail (AKL by bus and FW by boat)
while staying at BCV we'll also explore YC, Swan, Dolphin & Boardwalk - easy within walking distance

so how many resorts have you explore on one vacation?

Our last trip was in February for 5 days. We hit 6 resorts. Do it over differetn days so they won't all run together. Exploring other resorts is a great way to spend an afternoon. We found out to our surprise that we really liked CSR! :goodvibes

We always have a rental car, so we do them all. Each trip. We call them "scoutig expeditions" for our future vacations. To see if we might want to stay there, or change our mind about it in the future. Usually video, parts we are interested in. Pool, buildings names we like locations of, main buildings, boating, etc... . ::MickeyMo It usually turns out we stay in the same 3 or 4 resorts we rotate the most thou. :confused3 We are NOT in a rut, just like them! :cloud9:

Not many, unfortunately. There are still a lot I've never seen. Last trip we checked out: Poly, FW, Boardwalk. Previously we had checked out Cont., GF, AS's, AKL. This July trip we are staying at POFQ and I'm hoping to check out POR, OKW and WL. One of these days I'll get over to the YC/BC.

Every trip, we always take a ride on the monorail after visiting MK and we check out the Contemporary, Poly, and GF.

Last trip we checked out Poly, GF, WL, Fort Wilderness, BC, YC and POFQ

It was a scouting expedition to see where we wanted to stay this time. Poly won.

Usually 3 or 4. We have always stayed at the Poly, AKL,or WL so we have seen FW, CR, GF,VWL and just last time we looked at OKW and SS. Next trip we are staying at OKW and plan on seeing POR and POFQ.

On one trip we visited GF, Poly, CR, WL, Fort Wilderness, Boardwalk, BC, YC, OKW, POR, PORFQ, Swan, Dolphin, ALK, ASMo, ASMu, and ASSp. I love to visit the resorts and try out all the food and shops that they have.

We actually visited every Disney resort in one day - In 1989!
Back then it was CBR, FW, CR, Poly, GF & the Disney Inn (now SOG)

I'll be visiting ALL the resorts and the Cruise ship (pending) in a five day tour. I'll let you know how went. :-) (It's for work...)

Before we had children Dh and I would spend most evenings exploring other resorts. We consider it a must do during our Disney trips! Now that we have children we're too tired at the end of the day to explore much!

On our last trip, we stayed as ASMo, had dinner at the Poly('Ohana) and spent a wonderful afternoon in the lobby of GF while our son napped in one of the big chairs! This time we plan to stay at POFQ. I'd love to see the WL,AKL,YC/BC this time around!

We are hoping to start making this a part of our trips each time.

I have a DS9, DS22, his best friend 21 and myself 39. Energy after a park is not a strong suit for me. If only trying one a trip (we are hoping for anywhere from 2-6 trips between Sept. 2005 and Sept. 2006). Which with our ages in mind would you explore first.

We have stayed in AS Sports before and Movies this upcoming trip.

I believe AKL will be a priority since all of us are animal nuts, but after that?

Also what are some of the highlights for the resort you are suggesting. This way we can decide together with ones first.

Last trip, in an 8 day span, we visited 10 plus Vero Beach, and all 3 Universals, and 2 offsite hotels.

It's free entertainment, and great for a no-park day =) Plus, the best dining are at the hotels, so we do lots of hopping and scouting each time.

During the 25th celebration (1997) we traveled to the resorts that had the special 25th anniversary quarter presses one day. I do not recall which resorts had the machines but I have all 12 of them in a frame with the free poster & guest of honor badges we got from Townhall in MK. Makes a very nice keepsake.

When we were at WDW for Christmas I went to every resort open (at that time) and tape all there X-mas trees and the resorts signs. Total is 12 in 7 days.

We love to go to as many resorts as we can on each visit with the exception of the moderates and values. We tour the grounds and the lobby and usually have a meal at our favorite restaurant at each resort. We often say we could go to WDW and never go on an attraction and still have a wonderful time.

Christmas 2003...

First part of the trip we stayed at the Swan
Arrival day I explored YC, BC, BW, Dolphin
Drinking around the monorail we checked out GF, Poly(stayed here 2nd part of the trip), & CR
Christmas Day we resort hopped, POR, CBR, Pop
Then at night we took a sleigh ride and had a drink at WL

So I guess thats 12.

When we went in 2000 my husband was on a mission to get those pressed pennies, so we went to GF, Poly, Contemporary, stayed at WL, PO-R, PO-FQ, CSR, CBR, AS-Sp, AS-Mu, As-Mo, Old Key West, Boardwalk, Yacht Club, Beach Club, Swan, Dolphin... so I guess we actually got to all of them on that trip!

One Mother's Day DH and I decided to spend the day visiting ALL of the resorts. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at different resorts (didn't have PS, but had no problems). We even went to FW and Old Key West, but Shades of Green was closed at the time, so we've never seen it. We still visit all of the monorail resorts, FW, WL and the Boardwalk resorts on every trip. Sometimes we'll include a meal and a stroll at a moderate. Not much to see or do at the values.
