50yr old fridge AMAZING! what make was it although I'm sure they probably don't make them to last that long anymore.

2 fridges here. We bought one when we moved in 5 years ago because the one that came with the house had sat in an empty house with the power off for months and the ice maker was rusty and goop in the water lines. We moved it to the garage and keep it stocked with soft drinks, bottled water and milk. In the Fall when I'm doing a lot of baking, I buy lots of butter and eggs and keep them out there. I use the freezer section for frozen foods.

I almost didn't keep that extra fridge when we got our new one. I was going to have it hauled away. My co-worker said, "are you crazy? you have 2 growing boys - you're going to need that fridge space!" I'm so glad I listened!

Mine is about 5 or 6 years old. I've also got an ancient dead one in the basement that I would love to take to the dump one of these days when I can get my brothers help and truck.

We have two. One came with the house so I assume about 10 year old. We bought another that is probably 6-7 years old.

Two, a huge one in the kitchen, and a dorm sized one, for drinks, in the breakfast room. Both are 5 years old.

I walk for exercise and I've noticed that many, many houses have refrigerators in their garage.

Ok, so much for energy conservation...

1 in kitchen - about 2.5 years (Samsung and HATE it).
1 in garage which is going to get fixed today and more than likely replace said kitchen fridge thus regulating the Samsung to the garage (Kenmore Elite about 6 years old).
Chest freezer in basement which was turned into a 4 tap kegerator
Small dorm fridge which is used as a beer fermenter (temperature control to make ales and lagers). It isn't always on, and when it is it typically only runs about 50 some degrees.
Full size fridge in basement used primarily as a "beer fridge".

I have three - one in the fridge that's about 3 years old (Samsung, and I like it a lot), a custom wine fridge in the media room that's been broken for years but we haven't moved it because we don't want to have to buy another one to fit the space (so it's more like a decoration than a fridge), and an upright freezer in the garage that I keep my bulk meat in (we buy whole cows and pigs from a local farm). That one is about a year old, because my last one was 20 years old and finally died this summer. Thankfully I caught it before I lost the $750 worth of pork that was in there that is designated to feed us this year!

We have two fridges.

We redid the kitchen last year so that one is less than one year old.

We took the old one from the kitchen and moved it downstairs into the family room. That one is about 4 years old. The reason we replaced a relatively new fridge is that the old one is small and very basic - when we bought it we were limited by the way the kitchen was arranged and the fridge had to fit into a specific tight spot. I was walking around the appliance store with my tape measure and the main criteria was selecting a fridge was not brand or features, but simply whether or not it would fit.

7 or 8 years old. We bought all new appliances about 3-4 years after we moved into this house.

We have two. Our main one in the house is a older style freezer on top. We bought it when we bought our house in 2006. We were gifted a side-by-side refrigerator from my sister a few years later when they were moving which we keep in our outdoor storage building. I'd guess it's about the same age as our other or a few years older.
