How many points needed before adding on?

Is there a certain number of points you need before you are allowed to do an add-on through Disney? Also, are you allowed to do an add-on if you bought a resale? TIA!

As long as you have purchased a DVC contract (of any size), you are considered a DVC member and may add-on as few as 25 points. It does not matter if you have a contract of 25 points, you can purchase an add-on thru DVC.
