Hello! How many pins do you have? At the moment, I do not have any on hand but I'm expecting 9 (for now, I'm still bidding on some auctions) to be arriving this week or next week. I've only been collecting for a few days now so I don't have much but I'd love to hear what how many you more seasoned collectors own.

I only have about 5

DD whole different story she has about 150 right now about 190 after x-mas.

650 not including a few traders. i dont have many traders just now as we got back from DLRP 2 weeks ago

My PinPics count is at 3,900, but I probably have about 50 in the house that I have not put on my PinPics listing yet. However, counting multiples, as well as individuals pins in set, I would say the total of all pins is about 15,000.

Mike - I think you win! I was thinking that I have somewhere between 3,000 - 4,000 (my how they add up). I haven't updated my Pinpics for about 4 years but I do keep spreadsheets.

Talk to you soon! I know Mary mentioned to you that I'm flying down for the weekend.

According to pinpics, we have 2880 pins in our collection and 1570 pins for trade. If anyone is coming down to WDW soon and wants to trade in person...please let me know. We usually go to pin trading nights on Thurs. at the All Star and Fri. at the Contemporary.

I am very interested to know how you keep a spreadsheet for your pins. I know I have way over 1000 pins (maybe closer to 2000) and am beginning to lose track of what I have.

Do you use PinPics or Tomarts as a way of specifically identifying each individual pin? That was the problem I had.... how do I track each one.

If you were to use the Tomart numbering scheme, you could even get a feel for your approx value of the collection.

I would love to see what an entry in your spreadsheet looks like. I just want to get an idea what "character"istics (sorry for the pun :rotfl: ) that you use.

Anything you have to share on this topic would be GREATLY appreciated...

I use Excel and put the pinpics number, description, and an approx value based on my cost +/- pinpics desirability (#trading/#wanting)

I have no idea...and no desire to start counting now. We have enough that we have to keep them in a two room warehouse outside of our home though.

I would not want to count... But how many keepers do I have... I would say about 15 pins that I would never trade (for now).

About 10- I collect DLP ones. I hope to start a WDW collection when I go next April.

I have thousands and would not want to try to count them. DH might get upset if he knew how much money I spend on them. It's so addictive!!!! :confused3 :confused3

I have somewhere around the 4,000 mark. It's hard to count EACH pin, as I go by what I have on Pinpics. And some are boxed or framed sets and count as one.

I use to know what pins I owner until I reached around 1400. Now if I see a pin I don't even know I have, I put it up for trade.

2: The commemorative pin from July 17th and one that has gold mouse ears and looks like the 50th anniversary logo.

Some big variations in numbers of pins! As Suzi said, we really don't know how many. They do multiply when you aren't looking right??? :confused3

I have thought about counting, but each time I do it seems like a really long and difficult task. Of course the more I put it off the worse it gets :scratchin

It would be in the thousands, but not sure how many.

Of course if I did count I could use that at my next pin meet...... Guess how many pins are on display and win a prize......

I have many also...started a long time ago to collect..like the idea about the excel spreadsheet. :::Maybe I'll start counting:::::::1....2.....3::::::::

Ha! Anyway can I tell you how happy I was When Hubby bought me the castle 50th Anniversary Pin when we were down there for Christmas? And I thought he hated my pin collecting.....

::::::counting again 4...5.....
