Hey all,

I was just curious for those of you who have a weekday wedding, how many people attended? Right now we're thinking June 11th, 2011, but if we can get a weekday wedding (and people actually attend!) the minimum would be much cheaper....

So what do you think? Would people go to it, or would we be by ourselves?

We haven't had ours yet but we are inviting 30 guests and every family has told us that they are super excited and will definitely be attending.

Ours is on a Monday and we have a guest list of 38. All except 2 have confirmed that they are coming.

We had a Monday wedding and had way more come than we originally planned. It was MLK Monday but then again that is in the middle of Jan, and no one lived closer than Georgia (with most coming from NE, TX, or NJ).

We had 68!

We're having a Thursday wedding with 20 people attending. Everyone is making a vacation out of it!! :goodvibes

I think if its a destination wedding it doesn't matter too much what day it is.

I think because most people would be taking a vacation, the actual day doesn't matter - every day is a weekend in Disney. Now seeing that you are from FL, some people might have to take a day off from work, but I don't think anyone will mind. I'll also add that one of the DF's Best Man(s) and friends are all from Tampa and they are excited to attend :)

Mine is the Thursday before Memorial Day - we've invited 60 people and it looks like around 50 are coming. Like others have said, people are making a vacation out of it.

My wedding is on a monday. Both my mom and my fmil are inviting almost everyone they know so we are inviting around 180 BUT we are only expecting around 70 to be there.

Our wedding's going to be on a Monday, and we're going to have 47guests. It's a holiday for some of our guests tho' (my mom, brother, and aunt are teachers, and my cousin's kids and DF's family friend's kids have school off). The kids parents still have work tho', as well as all of our other guests, so they still had to get out of that. Only...6 people that dropped out from our original list did because it was a weekday. HTH! :)

Our vow renewal was on a Monday and we had 45 guests! For a destination wedding I am not so sure if the day of the week it is on makes that big a difference. Most people will make a vacation out of your wedding. That's what most of our guests did. They mostly stood between 4-7 days.
