I am going offseason Sun - Saturday, and staying in one of the premium on-site resorts. I love the pool area, and plan to spend a day or two, lazing around.

How many park to park days would you get, given that the lines should be short anyway, and I will have Universal Express? Added info: I have a medical condition that discourages me from going on some of the more rough rides. Also, when last I was at Universal, they only had the IOA Harry Potter stuff, and didn't have the water park.

Edited to add: I'm not a huge fan of waterslides, so I'm not sure there's any point to me going to Volcano Bay at all. I don't do the waterparks at Disney, now that my son is grown.

In short, how long before I've seen it all, and done it all sufficiently, that I will be sick of doing it all?

I think 3 is enough to do the parks well if you are hitting them pretty consistently. That said, if I were going to be there anyway, I would get enough tickets to cover the stay then take the parks at a more relaxed pace. I'm never going to get tired of it though - DD and I rode Forbidden Journey over 100 times one trip! You reach a point when the extra days don't cost much more.

Hi the longest you can purchase is 5 day 3 park to park tickets. After 5 days you have to buy an AP. We usually buy the 5 day park to park when we go for a week.

Sorry, I thought this was Disney because she said park hopper. In that case, get an AP.

The beauty of Universal on-site stays with Express Pass is that you don't have to commando the parks.

For our family, we sleep in, we eat the breakfast buffet, we go to the park for a couple of hours. Then, we go back to the resort for a nap or a swim, just relax and enjoy being with each other without the daily chores of home life. Around 4:30 - 5:00, we eat dinner at CityWalk and do an evening tour of the parks for as long as we wish.

We leave rested, have a bunch of fun, and get quality time together. With Express, it is so easy to hit all of our favorites as much as we want, see all the shows, spend a few hours riding the water rides in bathing suits - never gets old for us!

Since you listed the max at 5, that would be my vote.

You can take your time and make this a relaxing vacation and not need to rush in the parks to cover it all in a couple of days.

There is more to an Universal vacation than just the parks and rides.
You have nothing to rush to and don't need to keep track of time

Return home relaxed

When I priced out tickets for our upcoming trip at one of the premium on-site resorts, it was actually cheaper to get the unlimited 3 park ticket than it was to select just 3 or 4 days of park to park (IOA to US, we don't do water parks). So you may want to call and have them price you out all your options, you may be surprised to find out the unlimited ticket is your cheapest option. Plus, it allows you to go to the park for only an hour or two in the evening if you want to without feeling like you are wasting a very expensive day ticket.

Edit: I see people saying the most you can buy is 5 days worth but they must be running a special right now because I definitely got tickets that cover our entire 7 days. Looking at the details, it appears to be good for 14 consecutive days from the first day of use. It is called 3 Park Unlimited. It was cheaper to book this for some reason, maybe a special.
