have had trouble? Convince me I should use it. We arrive in August about 1pm.

We've used it 6 times and have never had trouble with it. We love it!

Used it, loved it.

There are a couple of other threads lately with the same question, and all responses were identical: use it.

Love, Love, LOVE ME ....it is such a convenient, free, service. We have not had any problems with them and always look forward to letting someone else do the driving :thumbsup2.

I have used it on my last 4 trips and absolutely love it! No waiting at baggage claim (and fighting the crowds), no driving to the resort. I will use it as long as they continue to offer it. I would even happily pay for it if it was not free (I'm not interested in starting a debate on how much I'd pay, just stating that I would).

Do head the warning, however, that it maybe a few hours until your luggage arrives in you room! Do pack whatever you think you'll need/want for the first few hours in your carry on bags. I failed to do this when I took a friend's daughter, and she was unable to wear her Jasmine costume for a princess dinner at Grand Floridian.

I head to WDW at least twice a year, and sometimes three times if I'm lucky. I routinely use DME and have had just one less than stellar experience. That one time it took me nearly 90 mins to get to POP due to an excessive amount of checked luggage being brought to the bus in addition to my stop being the third stop of three. At each of the stops, the driver got off the bus, closing the doors behind him, then he removed the luggage from under the bus. Then he would open the door (said he did it this way for safety reasons..I disagree), and allow guests to get off and claim their bags. This way he was able to collect more tips, versus everyone getting off the bus and grabbing their bags as they came out and then were able to just walk away while the driver was getting other bags out. But, it was a huge amount of luggage....the most I have ever seen on any DME bus before. It was really out of the ordinary.

The average time for me is about 70 mins, from gate to resort. I always pack a carryon bag with bathing suits and a change of clothes...that way I don't have to worry about when my checked bags area getting to my room.

I really can't find a downside to using DME. It isn't for everyone though. Some people like to go directly to baggage claim, meet up with their towncar driver and get help with their bags and then go directly to their resort.

we have used it at least eight times and have never had a stitch of trouble...

We've used it a couple of times, and now consider it part of the trip. The past 2 years we've flown in on a Tues/Wed afternoon, and it was great. Very short waits and only half full busses. This year we are landing Sunday morning, so we'll see if that changes anything.

I LOVE DME :love::love: Now, that really means something, as I positively HATE using the WDW bus system (and I won't debate that here); DME has "convinced" me to skip the rental car and go to WDW on DME and use the busses while there. It is that amazing! I think it's truly decedent to be able to check my luggage in Bangor, ME, and never have to deal with it again until it magically shows up in my resort room! In fact, if it weren't for DME, we would most likely still be off-site only guests, but between loving not dealing with the luggage and not paying for rental cars/gas, I am hooked on DME... and therefore staying onsite!

We have travelled to WDW 20 times, usually with a rental car and staying offsite. I know that it's going to take me an hour from the time my plane lands until I leave MCO in my rental car, having collected and carried my luggage. DME has taken that same amount of time or less, from landing until leaving the airport, and I don't have to deal with my bags. DELUXE! :cloud9::love:

I've used it once, it was fine. Usually I want to have a car when I am staying on property. If for some reason I thought I could do without the car on a budget trip, I would probably also be fine taking ME. Our experience is that collecting luggage and getting in our rental car is slightly faster, but ME has that whole price is right thing going for it.

That is my only complaint about DME. I rarely have anything under the bus. When the bus arrives at my stop I just want to get off.

I wouldn't hesitate to use DME and will be using it again next month. The only hiccup I experienced was the very first time I used it (which btw was the first year it started). My luggage was delivered to the wrong room and we ended up waiting until after 1AM before we finally received it. Other than that, we've had no problems and will continue to use it.

I'm sure you have plenty of affirmation of the benefits of DME, but I'll throw mine in. I usually get to the resort (I stay in All Stars) about an hour after I land, but I usually only have carry-on and take it onto the bus with me. I'm not sure why they close the doors while they unload the luggage, but it doesn't take very long. I've only been on a couple of full buses. It's a very convenient and easy way to get to the resorts.

We have used it twice and it was wonderful. Just be prepared for a wait to get onto the bus, I would think especially arriving at 1. Maybe have the kids a snack and a handheld game. The only downside would be if you want to make a stop on the way to the hotel.

Done the DME 5 or 6 times. No problems. Loved the fact that I didn't have to touch my steering wheel until we got back to our home airport. I will say, though, that if you ever do a late flight and have checked baggage, you may be awakened by luggage delivery. One time, we got in at 10 PM or so and got to our resort at 11 +/-. Luggage delivery was around 1AM and I was at the door waiting so they wouldn't knock loudly. I paid for staying up the next day, but someone had to do it. Regardless, though, love the DME experience.

we have used it 3 times, one time as a group of 7 and never had any issues. :thumbsup2

I have used it 10 plus times and have never had a problem

As for the driver closing the doors, I had that happen a few times but I have taken 4 trips since october and something changed as the driver didn't make us stay on the bus on any of the trips since october. They aren't supposed to so maybe Disney stepped in I don't know.
