I was surfing the E site tonight and found several great deals (even with shipping) on CM albums. How many of you buy this way? What other things do you buy on ebay?

I do most of my shopping on Ebay, period! I would rather pay a little more and ahve something delivered than have to deal with the incompetant people in stores. I do all my CHristmas shopping on Ebay and just about everything else too. BTW I also ahve my groceries delivered from PeaPod! That move saves me so much because I never impulse buy!

I purchased almost all my sizzix off Ebay and some other things for my son. I haven't been on much this summer--too many other things to do. :flower:

I both buy and sell on Ebay. I have purchased almost all of my Sizzix alphabets on Ebay. I have also bought things like refills for my Crop in Style Paper Sticker Binder and big wholesale lots of paper/stickers/etc.

Right now, I'm selling three lots of paper punches and I am about to put four Crop In Style Punch Pals (punch holders) on there too.

I esapecially do ebay for discopntinued items like pages for an old CM 8x10 Christmas album.

I buy about 50% of my scrapbooking supplies from e-bay and alot of other things :flower: We have 15% sales tax here :earseek: so many things are cheaper on e-bay(even with s&h) :cool1:

I have bought a couple of alphabets for the sizzix machine from E-bay and have been happy with them. DH wants me to sell some baby stuff on there, but I'm a little relunctant. I'm going to go to the library to see if there is a how-to book on how to get started selling on E-bay.

I just got the 1995 Cruella Classic's piece for $100 (+$15 shipping). It is mint and originally sold for $250!

For those who sale scrappin goodies on ebay care to share your ebay ID I am forever looking for scrap items and personally I'd rather buy from someone I "know"

Being a CMC I laugh :rotfl: when people buy CM products on E bay and pay more then you would have from a CMC, I see this all the time and then pay $$$ for shipping and handling. Let me know if you want any CM product I would be glad to sell it to you. I like to look at E bay to see what is being sold on there.
I've never bought anything from E bay even before coming a CMC. Nancy

I'm not implying anything by this recommendation....I don't even know you in real life...
but check out:

Ebay for Dummies. :)

It explains it all. Gives you good advice on how/when/where to put your items (for example, I have sold on ebay, but did not know this.....they say to start and end your auctions for when it is evening time on the west coast 9-12pm EST....also make sure your auction goes over the FULL weekend...most ppl look on the weekends but they also travel and will not be around to do last minute bidding)

Anyway...it's all in there. Great book!

I've bought most of my Sizzix dies off e-bay. Since both of the independent scapbookin stores in my town have closed recently, I figure I'll be buying more and more off e-bay and on-line.

Nancy....I never buy for more than they would cost me from my CMC. Recently I bought a 12x12 album for $20.50 plus 6.00 shipping. Still saved 11.50 over buying direct. I do however wonder why people pay so much more from ebay for certain CM products. Unless of course they live where there is a shortage of CMC's.

Cindy, That's great you got an album for that price, but next time look at other things people are biding on and you will see them paying more then CM prices. I would love to live were there is a shortage of CMC my business would do great. Nancy

Thanks ohiominnie! I am going to stick my toe in first, just try one thing first, and see how it goes. I will read up on it first!

I totally agree with you. For the most part it seems people pay horrible prices for items they can get from a local CMC. Plus I really laugh at the Rare and Hard to Find, or no longer available items.....so many of them are still in the catalog or where free with a party.

I wish there was an area near me with fewer CMC's. Then I would jump on the band wagon too! :)

I ebay, thanks to DH!!! He sells "stuff" and I buy!!! I have purchased Fun Serif Upper Case, Numbers and slide mount die. Yesterday I WON the new Large Album Die and Page Inserts Die. My dd8 wants to have a scrapbooking party for her birthday in October so I will make the girls each a small book with these die cuts!! I think they measure about 4 3/4 x 4, they have holes for ribbon/eyelets/brads. I figure they would be great for gifts, too. (I could not find them on Sizzix.com?!?)

I bet they would also make a GREAT Disney autograph book!! The possibilities are endless!!! (That's what I told DH anyway!!)

I also just won the "Hinges, Latches and Photo Turns" which Sizzix.com was out of!!

DH has threatened to change his password!!
:earseek: :earseek:

To the person wanting to sell baby things on ebay - my daughter had an ebay business selling kids clothes. The baby things did not sell, she ended up giving them to charity and the only things she made money on were 'new with tags' Gymboree.
