What a wonderful day... :sunny: Everything was perfect, and much more than I expected (always is!). ::yes:: I hope all of you enjoyed a fabulous mother's day too (You too, FRED!).

k&a&c'smom~Hope you helped yourself to all the party faire...especially the dreamy champagne LIMO cake! That's Beluga Caviar in the dish on the bottom...with some FINE champagne. Of course...my FAV champage is not Dom, but Louis Roederer's Cristal Rose...Mmmmm...

champbtlecristalbucket.jpg

Of course, I always make sure to bring enough for everyone! ;)

Wow...two little boys, and then a PRINCESS! Just goes to show, the THIRD time's a charm. princess:

blowinbubbles~LOL....aside from your "bleeping" (of which I was clueless, and had no idea sensorship was part of moderating), your PLAN sounds GREAT! Strategizing is part of the adventure. If staying in a mod affords you three eves/four days in the luxury of CL @ AKL...GO FOR IT! We have stayed at CBR before, (1993), and we loved it. The theming is wonderful, and I believe they renovated the food court, etc. :D

Majestic~:wave2: Sorry...I didn't intend to offend ant of the DAD's out there...(your day is coming!) HOW exciting is your day today?! WOW! Please, let us know if it's a prince/princess. I'll be pulling for the prince!! :hyper: What an exciting time...(Great way to follow mother's day). :cloud9: Enjoy the magical experience. :goodvibes

ead79~Thinking of you today...and hoping everything is going perfectly for you in the big Apple! I would have LOVED to have indulged in a WDW Fairytale wedding...what a TRUE piece of Magic. Perhaps I'll take a look-see at the renewal ceremony...as DH and I are approaching our 20th year of "blessed Unity" in 2006! It would be a perfect way to express our LOVE and reaffirm our committment.

BambiTamby~Thanks for the cake, sweetie (delicious!), and the heart-warming recount of the POLY CL surprise for your DM. You are a doting daughter, and your DM is truly blessed to have you in her life. :flower2:

I thought of you yesterday, and hope everything was glorious. I also lamented over the fact we will not be "tablemates" on the cruise, as we can not coordinate this event due to school schedules. :( We would have the BEST time together.
I'll be with you in "thought." :teleport: (Especially through the Panama Canal). XO

Steffy~Thanks for your wonderful "mother's day" story...and the magic of Disney (SNOW WHITE). :flower3:

Enjoy the DAY!

DF - I thought that limo looked like a cake - very impressive! How big was it?! I have only tried caviar once, and I don't think it was exceptionally good, but I did enjoy it! Yours is much better!;) Again, you are one fantastic hostess!!:earseek:

Yes, we were completely blown away by our little princess!:teeth: And all my friends constantly remarked that it seemed really strange to see a baby in pink on my shoulder! Seems like just a moment ago, this year is her 15th birthday!! Where does the time go?!:sunny:

Count me in for a Poly Concierge fan and finds it tough to go back. We went 2 years in a row the the third year had a regular room but it wasn't the same. Going back this year for 2nd half of our stay to celebrate parent's 50th anniversary. My 6 year old niece and nephew are also Poly concierge fans.

WOW! Ya'll have been some busy folks around here.

Steveanddonna, CaptainConcierge & Majestic/Fred - "Happy Trails to you" & have a terrific time!

Fred - What wonderful news!!!!! I am sending postive male-vibes (I'm creating a new word just for the occasion :teeth: ) your way for a baby boy (XY)! :goodvibes

ead79 - Wishing you safe travel for your NY orientation trip!

Blowin'bubbles - sounds like a plan to me! LOL - ****!

Welcome Shoes99 & LAWalz23!

I've been so busy, I didn't get to check in & see what was going on in lizard land. I hope all is well & a BIG ROOM WAVE to all you guys & gals!

PS - I think my DH is on the prowl for juicy details on our trip. I guess his curiousity is getting the best of him & it's finally killing him not knowing - LOL! He's even admitted to frequenting the site here lately.

Well, I hope all the Moms (& the Dad's) had a fabulous day yesterday. Mine was none the better.

DF - you really know how to show your guest a lovely time!

:wave2: - Bye for now!

Elizabeth-Congrats on the new job! Have a wonderful trip this weekend celebrating at WDW!

BlowinBubbles-do you already have AP's? If not wouldn't it be cheaper to do the 5 for 7 deal at AKL CL? Otherwise-I think a split stay would be great but I'd do the moderate first! Maybe not even tell the kids you're switching to AKL. I just couldn't do a switch-it would drive DH crazy. He's such a worrier. I used to leave him at home-went on 6 trips without him but now that we have 3 little ones I really want him to enjoy it with the kids and I want the kids to have memories of him there too. I may need therapy but I really believe that I can convert him. When we were first married (20 years ago) he hated to travel but I "taught" him how to enjoy it and we had lots of great trips together. Now I need to "teach" him how to travel with kids. I've been telling him that I plan on going this fall and next and he hasn't complained much so maybe its actually working! Happy Planning!

Fred, Steve & Donna-have a great time at my favorite place-the Polynesian!

Well off to go fill 2 prescriptions for DD-I thought she just had conjunctivitus this morning but when we got to the pediatrician's she started vomiting. Turns out she also has strep throat. She's alergic to penicilin so hopefully she won't also be alergic to this medicine. We've been so lucky though. She's 5(in 2 weeks) and has a younger brother & sister and this is the first case of strep in our house. Hopefully she'll keep it to herself!

I wish I knew...because my DD turns 17 (gasp) this summer! If you and I could find out (where the time goes?), we could LIVE in CL all the time!! :rotfl: ::yes::

The LIMO cake was HUGE! But...very yummy. I only eat Caviar if it is FRESH and served in a certain manner (I'm very finicky about this food). I've ordered some during the Holidays from Needless Markups...and it was heavenly. ;) Washed down with Cristal....mmmm.

Glad you liked the party, and all the offerings. :teeth:

VAgal76~Nice to see you were able to try some of the festive offerings before I put them away! [/b] :goodvibes We all had a great time, and will plan together for the next party. :p

*TO VAgal76's DH:~QUIT SNOOPING around and trying to figure out the details VAgal has worked so hard to plan/create! Just relax...and be surprised! If you don't stop peeking around the corners of the lounge...we'll have to start tying in lizard~code...andeveryoneherehatestoreadtheserunonsentencesandnonstopparagraphsfilledwithjuicydetailsandtidbitsconcerningallofourconciergeplansforourupcomingtripsonlyknowntothetruestoftrueloungelizards!

Enjoy the lounge...and MONDAY, MAY 10! (*My Cabin SUITE may open today...and I'll be frothing to receive the call confirming our upgrade!) :hyper:

HI everyone!

My Mother's Day weekend was part Mother's Day, a very small part, and mostly my BABY's 11 birthday! (throw in two hockeyh games, too!) 11 years ago, on Mother's day.... Mr. 10 pound hockey player showed up! We were also making graduation party plans for my first born. ACK! Where did the time go? I swear it was just yesterday when hockeybaby was born! Shouldn't our oldest only be in fourth grade? :) Instead, she's graduating High School!

What wonderful treats to show up to here at the lounge!

Congrats Majestic! On Father's Day we'll remember you and all the other dads! You can count in it! :)

Good luck to BT and DF with their cruise plans! Crossing my fingers for both of you!

Blowin'bubbles>> Go in, split the stay! You'll love AKL CL, and I have always wanted to try CBR! K&A&C'smom can tell you about my nightmares about having to book values again - You're not doing that! (and I still might be doing just that!)

VAgal>> We won't tell him a thing! You did let him know that the Days Inn on International Drive had your ressies, right? LOL

LovesDumbo>> Hope your little one gets better and soon! P and PD for her!

Hi guys! Hope you all had a great mother's day!! I have a question, I called IPO last week and left a message with several numbers at which I could be reached. No one called back all week, so I emailed. Still no answer. What should I do?

goodferry,

Are you trying to reach the Poly?

To be honest, I've had quite a bit of trouble with getting a response to my e-mails. I didn't want to say too much because I know they are busy but I have basically given up on trying to arrange anything out of the ordinary for our trip.

I asked if they could suggest something special I could do for DH to celebrate his graduation and our anniversary and was told "they couldn't think of anything, call the Disney Florist."

I must say that this is the exact opposite of what we experienced at YC Concierge last Fall. I always received prompt responses to my e-mails, the staff made several suggestions for special things and meals and basically read my mind while I was planning the trip.

I don't know what the situation is at WL/Poly IPO but it does kind of put a slight damper on your trip when you keep trying to plan things and you're just left hanging.

Hey k&a&c'smom - Thanks for the assist. :teeth:

As you can see, I got it!

LOL! I think the bleep was an automatic profanity filter, although I didn't think what I said was bad, I call my gals that all the time! ;)

Also, can you believe I've never tasted caviar?!?!? What a sheltered life I've led!:smooth:

hehe. . that is exactly what I'm afraid will happen if I go Concierge! I'm spoiled enough as it is, going deluxe all the time, if I go CL, I just might create a monster! ;) JK, of course. .

~*~LovesDumbo--No, I don't have APs yet. But I figured it would be a good way to get to WDW more than once this year, since we live pretty close anyway! (7 hr drive) Florida residents have a $109.00/4 day park Hopper pass. . the CM I talked to said for a 7 day stay I would have to buy two passes for each person. So, I figured for a $200 difference, and the discounts on food, etc, that AP would be the way to go.

But I will definitely crunch the numbers for the 7/5 deal, too! Although I don't know if it's good for FL residents, too?? [/I]

~*~#1Hockeymom--Happy Birthday to your hockey baby! ;) and Congratulations to your HS Graduate! Wow!

floridafam--yes, it is the Poly IPO I am trying to reach. I didn't have any trouble in the begining, but lately it has been tough. Now I am looking at the e-ride nights and considering adding a sitter for my girls so I have to try to contact them again! Good luck with your tests for your son today! I hope you get good news.

goodferry,

Sorry. They must be very busy. It is a little frustrating but what can you do?

Thanks for the good wishes.

We're off to the hospital after everyone has breakfast and we should have the results by the end of the day.

ead79,

Congratulations!

Majestic and everyone else leaving soon,

Have fun!:teeth: :sunny:

Thanks again for all of the prayers.

DF & Debbie - ROTFLMAO! :rotfl:

Days Inn was a "special" treat I thought of just for him....andyestheystillhavemyressies! That ought to fix him!!!

Not too much longer & I'll be blowing throught that 30 day mark!

Dropping in to say Good Morning! :wave2: Prayers & best wishes to each of you for a beautiful day. Off to work I must go.....:sunny:

floridafam. . .holding a good thought for your son's results today. We've been through the wringer with our two kids over the years and nearly lost our daughter after she went into respiratory failure due to asthma/pneumonia at 16 months! It was a nightmarish 48 hours in PICU. . .our kids' health has been the cause of more than a few gray hairs! I'm sure you will find out it's nothing and the doctor was being excessively cautious!

In another vein, my son drove off to school *alone* for the first time today! My baby is a fully licensed driver and I'm a wreck thinking about him on the road! He's on tight rein until we get comfortable with him behind the wheel! :earseek:

:wave2: to all this a.m.!

Morning everyone!

Yesterday DW, DD, and I went to the radiologist for a sonogram to see how the baby was doing. Everything appears fine. Doc was about a week off on the date. Baby was not cooperating so they couldn't tell the gender! Hah! It MUST be a girl! :)

Was hoping for a boy to round off our family but will be happpy with a healthy baby.

This week will be very busy for us as we prepare for the last minute details. Worked full day yesterday plus 3 hours last night for maintenance and didn't get home till 3am. Back at work already. Did that 3 times last week too. It has finally caught up with me. I AM BEAT!

Our flight out is flight 1592 with Continental leaving out of Newark Airport (EWR) Saturday 5/15 at 8:15am to Orlando (MCO).

You can track the flight online in realtime at:
http://www.fboweb.com/21/track/trackcommercialmenu.asp

Gotta go work! Be back later.

Fred

On day of check-out, when do the "lounge privileges" end......at check out? I know you have access to the resorts (parking and pool) for the rest of the day but wondered about the lounge. TIA.

Fred - I'm glad the baby is doing great, but really sorry you didn't get to find out if it's a boy or girl. You must be right about being a girl. We don't normally cooperate do we? LOL :teeth: Oh, I know you have to work hard to get out on vacation, but take a breather for yourself and try to rest before heading out on that jet plane! Wishing you guys the best for your trip!

Welcome marymrg! I'm not sure about staying in the lounge after checkout since you would have to turn your resort key back in. The key is what gives you access to the lounge. Depending on how late you plan to stay before heading back home it might be worthwhile for you to inquire about late check out that day so you can keep lounge privileges.

I need some advice!!!!

I currently have reserved Contemporary Tower Club for October. But, I called today to see what other concierge was available at monorail resorts. The CM told me that I could get GF Sugar Loaf for a couple of hundred dollars more.

Is it worth it? I don't know?!? Right now, I requested MK view and hopefully I would get it. I am in the Tower so monorail is easy access. But....I have always wanted to stay at GF. Is Sugar Loaf far from the monorail? Also, can you see MK from anywhere!

Experts... help me PLEASE! :Pinkbounc

Oh, and floridafam... you are in my thoughts... I am sure your son will be fine!

Majestic... hope you have a great trip...keep your wife hydrated!
