WOW! I remember alot of those. My favorite was the Blackjack gum. I can still taste it. Thanks for the walk down memory lane!

I remember quite a few of those too! I remember sticking my tongue on one of those metal ice cube trays when it came out of the freezer. My older sister said it would not hurt:rolleyes:

I remember a few of those, most were a few years before me. My first car had a 8 track player in it. There are certain songs that I rember having the 8 track, and when I hear the song it brings back lots of memories.:D

Those are the ones I remember. There are still a few places around here that has the tableside jukeboxes. My parents still have at least one rotary phone (and it still has our old phone number in Colorado-we moved when I was three-written in the center thingy.) They had an eight-track tape deck that fascinated me when I was about 11 or 12 and I used to use it sometimes. The school I went to for first grade actually used a Dick and Jane reader (and the people across the street also had some old Dick and Jane readers that they gave me and I read.)

I remember all of them! My grandpa had a crystal radio set
and my grandma used two ringer washers in her basement
every weekend! I still remember how my spoolies tasted
(I chewed on them in the morning when I was taking them
out). How about Top Value stamps? Alice and Jerry Readers
were what we used but we knew other kids using Dick and
Jane! Some years ago, they remade fizzies for a year or so.
They were awful but I remember really liking the root beer
ones when I was little! My brother liked the cola. We'd put
them in our mouths and on our toungues instead of in water.
What a sensation! We laughed and laughed. Our Cecil
doll's recording got messed up and said half things or
distorted ones-my brother can still make all the sounds and
we still laugh hysterically like we did when we were kids-
"I'm comin' Beanie!" My husband and I were just laughing the
other day about how we used to get high from mimeo sheets.
Do they NOT have slide rules anymore? Remember getting a
hammer and cracking whole roles of caps! the powder smell
staying on your fingers! hmmmm These ARE good memories!
Thanks!
mimi

Hair dryers with plastic caps....
Oh yes, I remember this well...right after my mom would roll my hair up in the pink sponge rollers with Dippity Do to give me those oh so lovely banana curls  :p she'd stick me under that dryer!

I swear we were one of the last people to have an automatic washer! I can remember the ringer washer quite well!

I remember several of the other items on the list too!

Wow, about 95% of them. Scuse me while I go get my cane. :teeth:

Roberta

I remember 34 of them - does this make me old?
