How many hours to visit Harry Potter?

We have a week-long trip to WDW planned for March, and I decided to take my 9-yr-old to Universal just to do Harry Potter (she's a huge fan) while DH and the little bros stay at the hotel and swim. We'll be taking MEARS from our Disney resort to get to and from. How many hours should I allot for it at the beg. of March in the late afternoon through closing? She won't want to do any of the rides, just tour the castle, all the shops, and get butterbeer. We've never even been to Universal, although we've done WDW a few times, so any tips about HP are welcome! :)

march = spring break guests, if HP is the focus of your visit, make sure to be @ the gates before they open.

unless you're buying your tix with the 'free' mears shuttle promo and are locked in, i'd go with a taxi for transport

Hopefully you'll miss the spring break folks if you're going in early March.

Allow 3-4 hours in WWoHP max. Maybe less if not doing any rides. At least consider doing Flight of the Hippogriff and maybe even FJ, which is a unique attraction that many HP fans love. Ollivander's is the wand show (a recreation of the Ollivander's scene in HP1) and is cute, but lines can be very long.

The logistical problem you may have arriving mid-afternoon is that WWoHP may be at capacity and you may have to wait an hour or two to enter. If you do as keishashadow suggests and go early morning instead, you won't have that problem.

my DS went 1st week of march last year (his GF was on college spring break) it seemed early to me too:confused3but crowded enough that they were happy to buy the EP as they were staying @ WDW
