How many grocery stores do you shop?

We do most of our shopping at Target and purchase the on-special items at Lowes.

We have three major stores in our town (Walmart, Giant Eagle, and Shop n Save) and two discount chains (Aldi's and Save a Lot). I still haven't been in Aldi's yet. We don't every shop at the discount stores.

We alternate between Walmart and Giant Eagle. Walmart has overall good prices, but doesn't stock some of our favorites. Our Walmart isn't one of the big ones, but a scaled down version. The Giant Eagle has everything we want, but prices aren't great. However, they do have fuel perks. So it's a toss up between the two.

We shop at mostly Publix, Wal-Mart, and Costco.

Not much choice for us - we have Hannaford and Shaw's both about 15 miles away. I tend to shop both - Shaw's for what is on sale and Hannaford for the rest. Super Wal-Mart is about 30 miles away - I find that it definitely is not worth the drive. The meat is usually awful and the selection isn't that great.

The nearest "supermarket" is about 5 miles away but it is nothing but an over sized convenience store meant to soak up the tourist's money. We pick up milk and stuff when we run out but generally try to avoid it.

My mom does our grocery shopping but I would say 4. Not just one store has all the brands we like regardless of price and some places just have way better prices then the others.

We do most of our shopping for non-perishables at the local Stop & Shop, since the local Shaws went down-hill. (The Shaws opened only two years ago and they were the best for a while, but I guess they didn't get the upscale clientele they wanted, and they went downhill recently, very sharply.) We do stop off at Roche Bros. every so often for a change in pace, and because it is on my way home from work.

For perishables, we shop at Whole Foods, but will do Roche Bros. or even Stop & Shop in a pinch. Generally, if we have to go to Shaws, we'll avoid the produce aisle completely (and given that we're vegetarians, we always avoid the meat aisle ).

We have several grocery chains to choose from as well as the typical warehouse clubs and discounters.

I am a big CVS/Rite Aid shopper and do extremely well at Giant (pa grocery store) with their club card and double coupons. I could make out even better if I hit some of the other chains depending on sales, but I really don't have the time. I hardly ever go to Walmart/Target anymore unless I have something specific to buy. It is just too hard getting out of the stores without spending an arm and a leg on things you don't need. My impulse buying has gone down dramatically! I also have not found any value in the warehouse clubs except for very few products (diapers/formula/trash bags) so we let our memberships expire.

We have a Harris Teeter, Lowes, Food Lion, Bi Lo, and Walmart all within about 2 miles of each other. We shop all of them depending on what they have on sale. Harris Teeter and Lowes have double coupons all the time and occasionally will have TRIPLE coupons!

Two, usually, but I've been wanting to go to the Aldi's across town (I've never been to one), so that would make three. Oops, forgot about the Walmart Neighborhood Market, make that four. I don't usually go to all in one week, though.

I didn't even know Loews had grocery stores. We have only two groceries (in 90 miles) - a Safeway and an IGA. We usually shop the IGA because it is on our way home, but we do go to Safeway for the deli and to pick up somethings not carried at IGA

a ton of places--except walmart (on principle-plus the few times I went into one they appeared to me to be dirty). Let me see--Meijers, Kroger, Busch's, Hilliers, Costco, Save-a Lot, Aldies, Walgreens, Target. Loved Farmer Jack's and was sorry they closed.

In general, three. Kroger, Walmart, and Farm Fresh. I have to go a distance to get to Bloom. LOVE them! Even wrote the company asking them to put one in our area. I never set foot in Food Lion. (And Food Lion owns Bloom!)

I typically shop at Wal-mart for non parishables and then Hannaford for meats, dairy, fruits,veggies and frozen stuff. Every once in a while I have to add in a trip to Kmart and maybe a stop at Home Depot for cleaning supplies that I can only get there.

90% of our stuff is bought at Kroger. The rest is from Costco. Occasionally I hit the farmers market when I'm in that area of town.

I grew up with a mother that spent 4-6 hours every Saturday driving all over town to buy what was on sale. When I had my own home, I made the decision that my time was worth more than the few dollars my momma saved and I wasn't going to start that. She still does it to this day but I refuse. I will pay an extra buck to buy the food I need at the store I'm at so I can get back to life.
