We will be there over Christmas and I thought it would be nice to be able to hand these out to spread Christmas cheer. I have looked at Ebay. Is 100 enough? Do I need more? I know other DISers have purchased them so let me know. Did you give them all away? Was it hard to give them away? Were people leery of you? We are spending Christmas day at Epcot. Also thought of buying paper flowers in Mexico to give out. Any thoughts?

FWIW you can buy them in the dollar store, there was a package of 12 bracelets for $1.

I think this would be so nice, my kids would be thrilled.

Yes definitely check out any Dollar store....Its very nice of you to think of others, it would make any kid very happy!!!!
Check your PM's ;)

We figured two per night for DD, but didn't end up using them because my mom found battery operated flashy thingys.

Yes, do dollar store, not ebay. They used to have a pack of 40 for $1! Now I only see 6 or 12.

We bought the packs of 12 for $1 at the Dollar Store and my 6 yr old DD had a blast handing them out at Fantasmic :) Will be sure to bring more next time so she can do it again! :)

AC Moore has a cardboard tube of 10 or 12 for $1..

I got mine off of the oriental trading company website. They sell them in bulk, and I think I will hand out some of our extras while we are there in November too!

we have a michaels (craft store) by us they have the tubes of 15 for $1.00

I just got a tube of 100 glow bracelets with connectors (you can string a few together to make necklaces) for like $12.00 on ebay with shipping. I think it will be a lot of fun for my kids to have them and for them to share with kids sitting around us at parades/fireworks. party:

Just bought them at Michael's. 15 for $1.00. I bought 100. I think my DD will have a blast handing them out. Who am I kidding? I will have a blast too.

I was going to get some for Tink gifts for FDDs (friend's DDs) when we go in December... I would love to make some kids smile more! I just learned about Tink gifts and also did my first Fairy Godmail to 5-6 kids.

I think it is a great idea! I know my kids would be thrilled :) Maybe we will run into you on Christmas Day at Epcot :)

Just a reminder that after Halloween, you need to hit the Wal-Mart stores and pick up their glow things for 1/2 off. The reg. price on them are like $.88, so you will get a really good deal!! Have fun glowing in the world!

And I thought I was clever ... Buying glow bracelets for my daughter to hand out. Very weird, I just thought of doing this last night!

Guess brilliant minds think alike!

We did this during our last trip in September. We've been trying to teach our DD3 the importance of being generous and sharing. While waiting for the evening parades or fireworks, we'd snap and make a few necklaces or bracelets and my daughter would give them to other kids sitting next to us. She would just thrust the glow necklace/bracelet in their face and say "Here! I'm sharing!" and run back to me! The other children would just look back at her quizzically and then at their parents. It was quite funny.

We give out the bracelets on the line for the bus or on the bus too at night.

I usually buy at least one 20-count tube per night from Dollar Tree. I'll buy extras of the 4-inch glow sticks that you can wear around your neck too.

My daughter still talks about the kids she shared with and it seemed to make her happy and I think she learned something. When we go to the store, she talks about the things she wants to share-- I'll buy clearance priced items she picks out and save them for Toys for Tots donations during the holidays.

i purchased mine at pat catans craft store.... i took 100 and connectors with us and we had fun passing them out to the kids around us while we waited for Spectromagic parade..... they only cost 8.00 for 100 of them... vicki

We actually didn't take anywhere near 100 glow bracelets/necklaces in May, but did have some left over on our last night and handed them out to some kids in Epcot and they were so thrilled! :goodvibes

I've been buying a package every time I go to the $ store. I think I have five packs so far for our next trip.

michaels craft store has the tubes of 15 for a buck....
