How many gifts do you wrap?

I wrap everything that goes in the stocking so I am guessing I wrap about a 150 gifts. Many are small but they still take time.

I haven't wrapped any so far, but I'll estimate that I'll probably wrap about 55.

Santa doesn't wrap here....so not so much to wrap

I've wrapped probably 15 or so

I will have to wrap my moms presents this year - so thats gonna be a new chore for me 'cause it adds another 5 kids with 4 or so items each

I'm so thankful Santa doesn't wrap!

No gift bags allowed in our family we think they're fun spoilers.

We wrap everything including stocking stuffers.

:thumbsup2

It also now makes sense why so many people are so stressed over Christmas--150 presents for 4 people :scared1: Sorry, I just can't see doing that many presents for people.

We have probably 40 presents under our tree right now for 11 people. I have wrapped maybe half of them.

this year ZERO
Im now living 1200 miles away from family and friends. (MA to FL) I did sent about 16 or so gift cards/cash gifts though.

There are currently 24 gifts under the tree. All but the two for me were wrapped by me. I will pick up another 4 tomorrow (need some thigns for our exchange student who arrives Wednesday to open) and tha will be it. The kids will get one gift each from us, but I also do the shopping and wrapping for the grandparents who tend to go with 2-3 gifts each (actually In laws are getting jsut one really pricey gift for DD--a kindle, and then a set of 5 Lego Secret Agent sets for DS. I wrapped the Lego sets in alternating paper colors and stacked them in descending size and tied it all up with a wide patterned ribbon and big bow--it came out really pretty) and the kids give to each other.
I also wrapped about 10 birthday gifts (one for each kid from us and 2 for each kid from each grandparent set). Both kids have birthdays Christmas week.
I have a couple of gift bags under the tree because I like the variety in the look but those gifts are wrapped in plain paper inside the gift bags. Even DH commented when he came home from being gone on bussiness last night that everything looks really good and coordiantes this year. I was stunned he noticed--totally not his realm:rotfl: I use ribbons, bows, straw ornaments, etic to decorate the boxes. Nearly all of which gets reused from year to year. The paper is nearly all solid colors (browns, greens, reds) and not glossy--my weirdo kids will not tear into anything (it gets so tedious at birthday parties, i always beg them to please just rip it open:rolleyes1) and will almost certainly save the sheets of paper to use as drawing material and in collages before it finally makes its way to the recycle bin--so not as overly wastful as it could be I guess.

Who said I was stressed? I was done with my shopping in a matter of days and everything wrapped not long after that. Now I'm relaxing until Christmas.

I think I've wrapped about 25 total. I still have DH's to wrap yet this morning while he's gone, so that will be another 4. I kind of enjoy wrapping gifts, once I get started. It's dragging everything out to do it that I don't like. But once I have everything I need I just do it at the table in the family room, and have a Christmas movie on the TV, the tree lights on, etc. so then it's kind of fun. I rarely resort to gift bags, except for the odd-shaped gift that I would have trouble wrapping. I think I used just 3 gift bags this year.

I found some pretty Thomas Kinkade wrapping paper with matching tags this year, and I used Sponge Bob wrap for the youngest grandsons, and Disney princess wrap for the youngest granddaughter. :goodvibes

I'm not stressed and BTW there will be 6 people opening gifts at our home on Christmas morning. Not to mention all the friends and coworkers gifts that are also under there. And,they are under there because I enjoy giving, not because I feel obligated to get them anything. :goodvibes

No stress here at all, just joy and excitement. I "just can't see" anyone only having 40 gifts but I refrain from saying such things to people because frankly its none of my beeswax! :hippie:

I have wrapped close to 75 and I have another 20 or so to go! We wrap everything!

Wrapping gifts is a job I love! Mine are all wrapped and I make bows for each gift. My MIL asks me to wrap all of gifts she will give as well. We have a nice time talking and drinking coffee as I wrap presents and make bows.

I usually wrap upward to 100 gifts, but this year, I think I'm going to be doing a lot of combining of gifts, especially where clothing is concerned. I'm just gettin too old for this. :lmao:

I HATE wrapping and I put it off EVERY year till the very last minute. So, I have to say 0 at this point.

We always combine gifts. That´s just the way it´s done around here. Nobody gets more than one gift from us, including our kids.

I combine things like an outfit (shirt + pants) and things like that..If I didn't I'd be wrapping till the cows come home...:lmao:

Why do something you hate, that is so bad for the environment? I asked 4 different people at work, and they are all reuse baggers, one has fabric bags she re-uses each year. Feel free to just say no to wrapping :)

When I first started seeing numbers like that here I thought they were wrapping for charities or something..:confused3

I only wrapped about 10 for extended family, my work as a perk hires workers to wrap our presents for our immediate family. I took all my gifts to work to have wrapped!! Hate the job love the perk!! They wrapped 40 for me.

Here's the thing, everyone is different.

I'm sure people probably judge us because we have a HUGE Christmas with hordes and hordes of gifts. BUT, what they may not know is that we don't buy anything else for each other or even for ourselves the rest of the year. It was like this when I was growing up too.

You want or need a new bookbag for school, ok you'll get it for Christmas. You need new clothes for school? Ok you'll get it for Christmas. A new toy? Makeup? CD? Movie? It all came at Christmas and never at any other time of year.

We Enjoy having a HUGE Christmas morning so we didn't mind at all not getting things throughout the year. We do basically nothing for birthdays other than go to dinner, and we get an extra gift at Christmas. We don't use credit for anything either. This allows us to save up our Christmas stash all year long. That way we can actually afford to buy all the fun stuff we get at Christmas and we aren't just going nuts charging hundreds of things. Its been this way my whole life and our family loves to do it this way.

But, I bet a lot of people who judge us for having a hundred gifts on Christmas morning, never even think about the fact that it may be because we don't buy anything any other time of the year. :hippie:

ETA: We also do not group anything. I got my mom 10 pairs of trouser socks this year that were on her list and they are all wrapped separately. I don't wrap outfits together, I wrap batteries separate from what they go with, etc etc etc. I use recycled wrapping paper and we do save paper from year to year :)

I don´t judge anyone, I´m just surprised. I´m just happy when people can have the Christmas they want to have, no matter how it is.
I don´t buy my kids or spouse stuff throughout the year either, apart from some clothes I might pick up when I travel to the US since it´s so much cheaper there. I just can´t see myself giving them dozens of gifts at a time. Can´t see the use for it nor do I think they would really, genuinely enjoy all the stuff they would get, all in one pile. I like the idea of them having to prioritize what it is they want MOST for Christmas, instead of them being pretty sure that they´ll get everything on their list. But then again, that´s just my way of thinking.

hehe there's still absolutely no gurantee that we'll get everything we want. Whatever we don't get we either deal with it and go without, or we go buy it ourselves. It's definitely not a situation where you make a list and you definitely get everything on it :goodvibes

We put stars next to the things we really really really want and the rest is up to the shoppers. :)
