We stayed on the 16th floor of the Dolphin in January, and spent the whole time trying to figure out where our room was when you looked at the hotel from the outside. According to the elevator there are 20 floors, and I know there are some 2 floor suites, but when we counted the windows on the outside we couldn't figure out where the 16th floor was. Does anybody know if the top couple floors are "fake" or mechanical rooms? We were going to ask during our stay, but never found the time.

Thanks!

Just returned home from the Dolphin last night :( and Saturday we did some exploring on the 20th floor. They are all suites and from the elevators the windows to the right face out to the MK. No windows at either ends, just the one by the elevator.

I think I've heard that the top two or three floors of the "point" or A-frame at the top of the Dolphin are one or two large multilevel suites. So that would probably explain why the elevator doesn't go all the way up to the tip of the Dolphin. I've also heard these suites are incredibly expensive, way more than any of the Disney suites, like 10-12 thousand dollars a night or something, with baby grand pianos in the living rooms and sunken living rooms and the whole nine yards. I still don't know if that would get me to stay at the Dolphin though, it's just not Disney haha. I think I saw all this on a travel channel special on that resort if I remember right.
