How many family members on DAS Card?

I've lurked for several years and finally my first post! Love this site!

Anyway, I've looked around and have not found a solid answer. Does anyone know how many family members are allowed on a DAS Card? With the GAC it was six family members.

We will be doing Disney with my sister's family who live 10 hours away from us time around. There will be eight of us and I am hoping we will not have to split. DS has a hard time separating from his cousin who he only gets to see once or twice a year.

My understanding is that six is the standard maximum, but it can be more, with supervisor approval. I believe that all eight family members would need to be there when the card is issued as well.

We have 7 members in our family and our DAS was issued for that many people. They did not ask to see everyone but we all stayed close by in case they did.

They had been asking to have all present for any group over 6, so it's possible they knew the other people were part of the group, forgot to ask or made an exception.

I would plan for all to be there.

Yes, we had everyone there just in case but only 2 of us were visible to the CM issuing the DAS. This was both at MK and Epcot, but we might have been an exception to the rule for whatever reason that day.
