How many eggs do you fill for Easter? If you do fill them, that is.

Getting ready to start filling my eggs with candy for Easter. Need to do a lot since we are having an egg hunt with all the neices/nephews on Saturday and the Easter bunny will deliver some more to our house on Sunday morning.

So how many does the bunny bring to your house?

We have our big egg hunt the weekend before Easter. This year I filled 1300 eggs with candy, small toys, and slips of paper which list a bigger prize the kids have won. We usually have about 30 kids or more each year.

On Easter we will have a family only hunt and we fill about 50 eggs with candy and money. There will be 3 kids. So it really depends on how many kids you are having.

I haven't counted them! I know it's a lot. I saved some from last year and bought some new ones. We're putting small candies, coins, Chuck E. Cheese tokens, in the eggs. We might come up with some other things too.

I stuffed 96 this week with candy. I only have 2 children, but they keep looking and looking even after they have found them all. I usually only do 50, but this year I did way more.

I filled 150 for three kids.

I filled a few with candy, but most have small goodies (erasers, bouncy balls, little bottles of nail polish, loose change, stickers, $1 bills, etc). For prizes that don't fit inside the eggs (each kid got a Hallmark Bunny Zhu Zhu pet), I put little notes inside the eggs.

It's just my 2 kids, so we only fill 80. We do a scavenger hunt. Inside each egg is some candy and a written clue to lead them to the next egg. Then I will spread out a few eggs in each location. The final clue will lead them to their main prize. The kids love it.
