How many DVC points for Egypt?

I'm having trouble finding the number of points for the upcoming Egypt trip...I'm sure it's huge. I suppose I could call DVC and ask, but I'm too lazy from the heat...

WOW! I am back and forth on DVC and was thought that using it toward ABD would be doable on 160 points now I am thinking not so much!

Tozzie can you tell me what the Hollywood trip points are PP?

That's why I always recommend renting your points instead of using them for an AbD. I have clients who have rented to other clients (so I'm not doing it for commission, since I lost one to gain the other - lol!) and it's been a much better deal for them.

Points usually rent for $10.00 per point and up, so the 9-night Egypt trip would net you over $7,000.00 and may only ("only?" LOL) cost you $5,199.00 to book with cash.

I don't know if there are any tax issues involved, though, making this a less attractive option than I think it is. Anyone know?

That said, renting can be a pain in the neck, especially if you don't know the person on the other end. If the savings wasn't close to $2,000.00, like the above scenario, I'm not sure I'd bother. I've only rented to friends, and not very often -- but that's mostly because I can't bear to part with any of my points!
