Is there a thread or website or link or page that shows how many points it takes to stay at each resort for how many nights? Like a points table or chart?

I was talking to my husband about possibly buying DVC points but I wanted to kind of get an idea of how many points it really takes to stay a week at say OKW 1 bedroom villa...

I see on the boards you can get OKW resale for around $55 a point but if I wanted to stay 7 or 8 nights there how many points contract would I need to buy? I am looking for that kind of info if any of you know where to point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

When looking on the DVC points chart it says the OKW 1 bedroom villa sleeps 4 but on the Disney booking page it says this "The master bedroom suite includes a king-size bed and bathroom with whirlpool tub. The living room has a queen-size sleeper sofa and sleeper chair. "The master bedroom suite includes a king-size bed and bathroom with whirlpool tub. The living room has a queen-size sleeper sofa and sleeper chair." Why would it have a sleep sofa and a sleeper chair if it only sleeps 4? You cant have 5 in an OKW 1 bedroom villa?

The addition of the sleeper chair to the OKW 1BRs happened recently. They now officially sleep 5 so perhaps the information you are seeing has not been updated yet.

If you ever lose that link to the DVC points charts, just scroll up any page in the DVC section of the DIS and you will find the link over on the right near the top of the page.

Thanks for the responses. Those links helped. I have a ton of questions about DVC but I will post them later in different posts or look through old posts here to find the info.

I know I saw a thread that shows all the DVC deals ppl have made, like resale deals where they got fully loaded contracts for so much per point and seller paid closing fees and next years fees, etc. Where do you find listings of those deals that are for sale? Do you have to go through a broker? Is there websites where you can look at what is for sale and the offers being made for the contracts?

the easiest points calculator I have seen is on dvcrequest.com on David's site. It shows all resorts and room types at once. Very easy to use and view multiple options at once.

you don't see the offers unless people post them here or on a similar forum. kinda like making an offer on a house - it happens between the intended buyer, seller and broker behind the scenes.

the timeshare store is the sponsor of this DVC forum and the link is above. other brokers can be found using google or searching this site.

you can avoid using a broker (like buying a contract off ebay) but there's not much benefit to doing so...it still goes through ROFR and if the price goes too low, there's still a small risk that disney will step in and take it away from you.
