My Sis and I are seriously considering this because we're afraid we're gonna love it so much we'll want to do it twice. But is it worth it? If it's 7-12, shouldn't five hours be enough? What do you guys think? Should we do it once and move on to other things?

DD and I will be doing it twice. It will be our first time at MNSSHP. We did MVMCP this past December and did it only once. The best thing about it was the lack of lines for attractions. Had I known it would be this way, we would have gone twice. For our October trip, we are not going to MK any time except for MNSSHP. This is actually saving me money on park tickets. I just hope that MNSSHP is like MVMCP in regards to crowds.

I am thinking that we will do this as well. Right now we have Thursday the 27th, the day before my bday. I know I could also do 10-28-05 or 10-30-05. Just waiting to see what might happen.

The 1st year they held the party we just stumbled onto it and had so much fun that night...no crowds, great decorations & music, way too much candy, way too many rides, sooo we attended the next party 3 days later.
However that was several years ago and before the marketing blitz from Disney about the Halloween party.
We have been back 3 different years during October since then and have noticed that the crowds are much larger each year.
Now I'm not trying to freak you out or anything as it is still a lot of fun.
You definitely have to plan and think like usual because of the larger crowds, but I have noticed that if you can hang in there late the crowds seem to thin out after the fireworks.
We don't really spend time in the candy lines...because candy is cheap, but MK rides you can't get at home.
Also make sure you catch the parade...and don't miss the beginning (hint hint).
Don't forget the free photo of your family, another thing to wait for until later when the lines thin out.
But because each party has been more crowded than before we have not spent the extra money on attending a second evening for that trip.
Just our opinion.
Good luck!

I'm a total Halloween freak and I had so much fun last year that I begged my mom to let me pay for two more tickets for a party a few days later. We'll be doing it twice this year too!

I was wondering the same thing! I'm gald you posted this. I went last year to the party on Sunday Oct 3rd and it was great (the only real long line I can remember was Dumbo (like 30min at 11:30pm!)). Having said that we missed the fireworks, saw half the parade (those people with the shovels dressed in garb from HM were fabulous!), and forgot to get our pic taken among other things. We got to the party around 6:30pm after a 5:00 PS at Ohana's and we mostly concentrated on rides and churros. I was thinking this year of doing the first party and the second party so I can make sure to enjoy everything that is offered and not just the short attraction lines! I'm not sure if the family will be coming this time...so I may just be solo :)

The last two years, I gone to two parties during my trips. :) I need to attend two parties since I run around all over the park seeing which characters are out, so I need lots of time! My only regret is attending the Halloween party on Halloween day last October, as I found there was less going on that day than the other parties I been to. The Halloween Day party had absolutely nothing special happening, and there were less characters out that day than the other parties I been to, so I rather pick other parties that are less crowded! But if I can go this October, I will attend every party that coincides with my dates!

We're looking at 9-30 and 10-6, so the crowds shouldn't be too big a problem...I'm putting off getting tickets until we make up our minds!
