i've got a bit of a dilemma...

we were planning on going for six days to wdw and three to universal (staying at royal pacific)... now we want to take my aunt to the Holy Land experience, which will kill one of our days... i really don't want to give up a wdw day 'cause i know we will need all six for all we want to do, but am concerned about doing universal in less than two full days...

our flight lands early, so we could check in (does universal offer airport transport? do they have car rental on-site?) and head to a park right away (hopefully by lunch time)... spend the rest of the day/evening/sleep/get up do the other half of universal all day/evening/sleep/get up and check out... is that enough time?

thanks!

You didn't mention when you are going but with FOTL you should be fine. Make sure you show that room key at EVERY ride and show and use the express lines only. If you are going during the summer when the parks are opened later you will have MORE time than you need (if that's possible). FOTL is the greatest advantage. I usually do this myself every year. 5 or 6 days at WDW and 3 at USO and I've never missed a thing. :teeth: You're in for a wonderful time. Enjoy.

thanks! we're going late august/early september... so the US portion would be around 8/26-28...

I forgot to mention that there is a rental car service at RPR and no, there is no airport transport but there are several shuttles and car services at the airport. These boards are sponsored by FL Tours which is a car service and there is Mears as a shuttle service. I usually use transportation2disney.com myself but everyone here has there own favorites. Mears shuttle would be the cheapest but it is very time consuming. You can find all of these online. HTH :teeth:

which rental car co is onsite at US?
(although w/all our travelling the first few days, i'm thinking maybe we'll rent national/alamo at mco, and turn it in when we check in to wdw... typically we rent onsite for the day we need it and return it... i hate to pay for a rental to sit in the parking lot!)

You're going at a very slow time of the year so you will be fine. The only drawback is that the parks close earlier but you still will have plenty of time if you stay at the parks most of the day. We stayed around that time last year and spent the whole days at the parks and enjoyed the pool at night. Its a wonderful hotel and the pool is WONDERFUL. Just to let you know that a lot of the restaurants close early at Citywalk (we were looking to eat after 8:00pm) but we found Hard Rock Cafe open and they have very reasonable prices and great food. Have fun!

thanks again! i am sure we will find plenty to do to fill our time... sleep comes to mind! LOL! (our fave flight is the 7:15 am which means leaving the house by 4:30 am so we will be tired early!) and our second night i would love to consider one of the "theme" dinners in orlando (pirates, medieval, dolly parton, etc) since we will most likely have a car... dh also wants to check out gatorland (WHY?!) so that's an option if we have time leftover too!

when does universal post it's park hours? (last year wdw's august hours did not come out 'til around 4th of july!)

We EASILY did both parks in 2 days with FOTL, this was ifirst of May, which wasn't too crowded either. Matter of fact, both days I finished right after lunch and was able to nap under the palm trees at RPR while DH rerode all the thrill rides in the afternoon =)

Don't sweat it, I'd knock a universal day off to do the Holy Land =)
