How many days before the trip should we expect our box of goodies?

Our boxes have usually arrived between 30-35 days before the trip begins

Did you book through a travel agent? I think the boxes go to them, and they have to forward it to you. (I could be wrong about that, but I thought I remembered reading that). I'd call your TA or ABD if you booked through them. You really should have gotten the box by now!

We are about 26 days before starting the tour and we also don't have our box yet. I called and they said it will arrive next week. So much for the 30-day countdown.

Our ABD is June 17 (with a pre-day on the 16th). Our box just arrived Friday (5/25). So, it should be imminent.

I wonder if there is an issue with whom ever is sending the boxes this year, I have always received mine 45 days prior to the departure. Unfortunately I am not going on an ABD this year, but I am going next.

That's right, we receive them before I start thinking about the items but not this year. I think it was sent out late for some reason.

Well, tomorrow will put us at 19 days, and we still don't have a box. I contacted DU, and they have contacted ABD for us.

I know that we will have backpacks in the box. What else is in there? I'm just trying to decide if it's anything that will make a difference in how/what I pack. Thanks!

(Southwest Splendors trip, if that makes a difference for what's in the box.)


ETA: Yea for Kelsie at DU! Our box was shipped today and will be here soon. (I'm not sure the TA's from DU ever rest! Kelsie looked into our issue early this morning and then updated us on the situation late this evening. Way to go, Dreams Unlimited!

Still waiting for our final trip documents as well. I called a couple of weeks ago and they said they would be mailed out on May 30th. We leave 2 weeks from today. Hopefully soon, guess I will call back if I don't get anything by tomorrow.

Great! Then we are ready to go!

The backpacks this time are smaller than our old ones. I think they'll work better for DD12 and myself though. DH will carry one of our older ones.

I really liked the yellow luggage handle things. I'm not thrilled with the paper version, but such is life.

It came UPS. When our TA checked on it, she found out that it was shipped last Wednesday.

The box contained our backpacks, paper luggage tags, and a pre-trip book that gives suggestions for packing & an outline of each days' activities.

Ours arrived yesterday for an Adventure to begin July 7th. It's so good to see those boxes!

I also received a call from ABD this morning to ensure that I had received my box and to ask whether or not I had any questions. I thought that was a nice touch. Love ABD!
